The Relentless Creeping Of Islam....
... in the United States is being done peacefully. Whereas in Europe they intimidate, and the quivering French, Spanish and now even Brits (sad, a once great and bold people turned now into spineless mush) bend over backwards (or is it forwards?) to accommodate their takeover plans.
Please don't slap us anymore, plead the Euros, we'll do anything you say! What a miserable bunch of cowering has-beens the Europeans, including the Brits, have become.
Here, the Muslims are using an entirely different approach -- with the terrorism supporting CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) as their PR firm, the ACLU running legal interference and our very own Democrats abetting and shouting encouragement from the sidelines, they are using our laws and our political venues to infiltrate and eventually dominate our society.
Mr. Ogre's take on the situation here in the United States is right on top of things, an excellent read with a couple of further must read links, and can be read here.

Islam must be criminalized as a terrorist organization.

Seth, I'm not sure if it's going to be peaceful here for very long. Look at those six imams who deliberately disrupted the USAir flight and now scream persecution for being "humiliated."
Monica at Grizzly Mama had an upclose and personal experience recently with an angry black Muslim man in Philly.
I think they're testing the waters with us. I think we'll see more conflict and disruption from them.
We need to wake up. I wonder if we should start peacefully demonstrating at our capitols to create awareness and tension. Our representatives must wake up!

Welcome.
I agree 800%. The problem is that the politicians won't agree until their necks are being personally stretched on the chopping block, at which time it may be just a smidgeon too late.

I believe you are right, except about peaceful demonstrations being any sort of solution -- our politicians seem to be completely duped by CAIR and the rest of Islam's propaganda venues (which doesn't say a whole lot for the intelligence and/or perception of those we elect to govern our country, but then look at their counterparts across the Atlantic).
In the twilight of our liberty, it may very well be we, the people fighting Isamofascism without government support of any kind, perhaps against the government itself, while Imams feed the last remnants of the Constitution into the same bonfire they use to cremate all the stupid, naive liberals that helped them gain control of the west to begin with, the same liberals who seek to disarm the public to render us totally helpless in the face of anybody that wishes to take away our freedom.
Thanks for the link to Monica's blog and her experience with the Muslim mentality, there's a brave soul who is headed for my blogroll in short order!

I'll have to go check out Monica's post.
Our politicians must wake up, otherwie we will be in the exact same fix as Europe is. No one can reason with these people and the western world needs to quit trying. You can't reason with insanity!

As much as I hate to say it, I believe that our politicians, especially with the left about to be in control of Congress and the damage they can inflict over the next couple of years, are going to help, through their ignorance, Islam gain a much larger foothold here.
Ogre's post makes complete sense and pretty much outlines how this will happen.
Things were going just fine for the good ole USA until about 35 years ago, when the left began their campaign to destroy this country, and we allowed them to carry on. As far as the infiltration they are permitting by Islam is concerned, they really need to pay attention to the adage, "Be careful what you wish for."

Why is peaceful demonstrations off the board?
How else will we gain their attention?
I don't understand why conservatives are averse to using tactics which are their RIGHT to use. The Liberals do it all the time, and often with success.
I think we conservatives must start to consider that sitting around and talking about it isn't going to do anything anymore. We have a House and a Senate controlled by the Left. Possibly the White House will also be taken in the next Presidential election.
Why do we conservatives just sit around and wring our hands? Why can't we go to our capitals and confront our representatives who refuse to reply to our letters?
It's apathy on the right's part which is helping the left. We are not being proactive.

I was at a counterdemonstration in DC (at Walter Reed) last September (2005) and a few other conservative functions, and met a lot of people.
The problems are mostly time and travel expenses. As far as time goes, it seems liberals have an infinite supply of spare time on their hands, where most conservatives don't. As far as travel is concerned, many more will show up at a better publicized rally in a city like DC, where they can also go sight seeing and hotel accommodations are more plentiful. It's the demonstrations in out of the way places that don't get the same attendance.
OTOH, I haven't heard about any demonstrations against the Islam issue, though I agree there should be. As dense as our politicians are, I don't know if they would even get it.
