Democrats And Racism
I ran across this 4 year old article recently and thought it a good "share".
As on so many other issues, the hypocrats Democrats say whatever they have to say to get votes, no matter how shameful the lies or the manipulations.
The black vote has long been one of their mainstays, which is really pitiful as they have proven, decade after decade, that they are the worst enemy of black Americans, the very party that holds them back while blaming the Republicans, whose intent is to give them real equality and real equal market share in America and the American Dream. Considering their track record, the very fact that blacks continue to vote Democrat probably confirms in their eyes that blacks are exactly what the Democrats think they are. After all, when you run such a transparent scam on the bulk of a major voting block for so many years and they continue to allow you to lead them around by the nose, how smart can they be, right?
Of course, the Democrats have their own black perpetuators of racism, such as the likes of Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, who depend on playing the race card to earn their miserable livings by helping to keep their fellow blacks from waking up and smelling the proverbial coffee. These two individuals are the real "tokens" or "Uncle Toms", as they sell out their own for their white masters in the Democratic Party in order to perpetuate their own careers.

Well who can blame any racial group- for voting liberal- when it is the liberals who give them money, benefits, housing-- all the tools needed to stay below others? Who can blame blacks who are forever being told they are a minority that deserves special treatment and entitlement programs vs. being told to get out and work for a living? Go to school...get a good job or even a career? Like everyone else has to do...
Call them stupid for allowing themselves to be so treated.

Raven --
Sending the message the Democrats send to black people and offering them a poor living for free or unearned jobs or college admissions, rather than encouraging them to achieve and prosper on their own keeps them from getting as far in life as they otherwise would.
In New Orleans, welfare and a joke of a public school system works well for the Democrats -- they keep a large pool of menial labor for the lowest paying jobs that way. They also have one of the worst drug and street crime-related homicide records in the history of the universe.
It irritates me to no end that most blacks continuously vote for the very people who keep them down.

The above reminded me of something I read in one of John McWhorter's books. I'm not sure if McWhorter has stated his alignment with any political party, but he has written about the importance of requiring blacks to meet certain educational standards and not to use affirmative action as an excuse for not achieving. HERE is one article about him. I read his book Losing the Race. Quite an eye-opener.
As I see it, the Democratic Party does not have the interests of minorities at heart. Rather, the Party uses minorities as a means to reach a particular political end.

I read the interview (just now) and I agree with McWhorter, except where he dismisses the effects of the 2 Raceketeers -- every time they open their mouths, they are treated by the MSM as though they were preaching the true Word of G-d, and great hay is made of it, inciting loud agreement by liberals and blacks alike who see them, because of their color and their fame, to be unimpeachable authorities on what is and what isn't racism.
To judge from the interview, blacks need to listen more to the McWhoorters and their messages, less to the Jacksons and Sharptons.
I am going to pick up a couple of his books and place them at the top of my reading list.
Sigh.... A Seth's reading is never done....

Seth,
McWhorter's material was recommended to me by a black client. I don't always agree with McWhorter, but I admit that I like what he has to say.
