This Is Too Much

The New York Times was evidently really reaching this past Sunday.

Sunday’s op-ed page devoted itself almost entirely to global warming alarmism world-wide, apparently based on New York editors who first got warm, then cold: “Prompted by a New York winter that went from disturbing warmth to bone-chilling cold practically overnight, the Op-Ed page asked four writers from four different corners of the globe to report on the erratic weather they’ve been experiencing.”

That was enough to inspire the four essays under the heading “Cloudy, With a Chance of Climate Change,” though the Times also used Al Gore’s Academy Award for the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth” as a news hook: “It seemed a pretty sure sign that Hollywood believes that global climate change is taking place.” That settles that, then.

That settles that, then. LOL!

Read the rest here.

On topic and definitely a good and relevant read can be found at AB Freedom.

The Times must be profiting big time to continue to propagate this garbage. I wonder if one of the directors is on the board of Gore’s new carbon credit company.

    Thanks Seth..

    AB –

The NYT seems to be on a suicide run. Their circulation has been spiralling downward the last couple of years as more and more Americans realize they have become nothing more than a leftist propaganda rag.

They’re more like a free PR firm for Gore & Associates, or any other anti-America/ socialist concern.

You’re Welcome, I’m always happy to link to a great post. I surely learned some things I didn’t know. :-)

There is suppose to be a British documentary I forget the name comming out at some film festival (Would be nice if I could ever remember anything) that is suppose to prove this whole Global Warming thing is a big scam. And they are being duped in Britain the same as we are being duped here into believeing this nonsense.

I would like to see that.

  4. Seth Says:

    Marie –

    Me, too.

We must hope that it comes out on DVD.

I can just see the liberals at the film festival demonstrating, once again, their “intellectual elitism” by throwing bricks and bags of feces and doing everything they can to disrupt its’ being shown.

  5. Ken Taylor Says:

At least the bigger news is the numerous experts incuding this guy from France who started the whole GW flak in the first place that are coming out stating that it is caused by the sun and that man has little or nothing to do with it!

  6. civil truth Says:

Here I’ve been constantly reading one-liners about how a heat spell or cold snap proves or disproves global warming (and have thrown out similar comments myself on occasion) and assumed everyone knew they were jokes.

But the NYT editorial board completely misses the joke and actually takes this seriously! Hey guys, why do you think they call it weather? It’s supposed to change.

Something has fried their brains - maybe global warming?

  7. Seth Says:

    Ken –

All we have to hope for (without betting the farm) is that these folks somehow manage to get some kind of equal coverage by the MSM, as opposed to being ignored as usual.

    Civil Truth –

I think it goes deeper than that — their brains have been fried by liberal warming. :-)

to report on the erratic weather they’ve been experiencing.”

This reminds me of the dioxin scare. People go into hysteria, attributing normal aches and pains as being proof of the dangers of dioxin.

So the weather changes, and suddenly it appears “erratic” and “abnormal” and must be firsthand account proof that global warming is happening.

Well of course it is. And…?

  9. Seth Says:

    Wordsmith –

This one’s happening with the full forces of the MSM and lefty politicians behind it, though, and dissenting opinions by experts need not apply.

Sort of a protracted Orson Welles broadcast, LOL.

I was reading your post and I decided I’d leave you the link to Ab’s post and then saw that you already had it! :)

As far as the NYT’s goes, I wish it would!

    Gayle –

The timing was great, there. I had just finished the post and was doing some blog visiting, and read AB’s post, and thought, “WOW! This needs to be linked to from my post, the two belong together!”

A sinkhole underneath the NYT building would be ironic but fun, as while it sunk, the first thought that came to my mind would be, “Grey Lady Down”.
