Welcome to the Liberal church! I am Richard Daley Jr. but you can call me Dick. You may already know that my father was a great man. He was so great, that on election day, even the dead would vote for him. Naturally, I was born to be King Of Illinois! That’s right, this is my state. If you want to live in my great state, which is the greatest state of the 51 states then… oh, there’s only 50 states? What about Puerto Ric… It’s NOT? Well can we trade Louisiana for Puerto Rico?

Anyway, if you want to live in my great state, which is the greatest state of the FIFTY states then, you must come before me and explain why I should allow you to live in my state. No explanation under $1,000 will suffice.

In other announcements, our missionaries in Afghanistan and Iraq have successfully committed 4,503 acts of protest against Bush’s Islamic Holocaust. It was a decent week as there were 59 more successful protests! However, that’s four less than last week. Please keep the insurgents in your prayers and please donate when the plate is passed around.

The “Iraqinam Sixties Protest” is getting high again, it’s almost like the sixties all over again! Today we are high on the high seas of the Hard Astarboard where we can be one with the sea! We don’t see blue water and green land, only shades of aqua.

Let us bow our head and make a tax payment. Oh Holy Spirit Che Guevara, give us the strength to open up other people’s wallets and give to the less fortunate. Guide this great ship to the great holy land Cuba! O Holy Spirit Che Guevara, we adore you!

From each according to his ability, to each according to his needs.

While the taxplate gets passed around, Sarah Brady will sing a song that she wrote.

Thank you Sarah Brady!! Wow, that was exciting and original. I really loved that line about us dying if Bush stays in office. Unfortunately it’s too late. Because George W. Bush is in office, we are all doomed to die someday. George Hitler Warmonger Bush invented death. If it wasn’t for George Bush, we’d all live forever! Well George Bush, guns, not wearing seatbelts, and cigarettes are what kills you and we’d all live forever if it wasn’t for those four murderers.

And drunk driving, Republican drunk drivers are murderers, true liberal Democrats wear a seatbelt when they are driving with a little extra sauce so they aren’t dangerous.

Many extremists are up in arms, because I kindly asked them to explain why they need guns. That’s no excuse for them to call me delusional and point their bazookas in my face.

As you all know, I am for sensible gun control. I’m not trying to take guns away from law abiding citizens but I don’t think 14 year old gang members need to have access to nuclear missiles and have tanks in their backyards. There’s no reason why an 8 year old should have a high powered assault rifle or deadly hand guns in his middle school locker.

We aren’t talking about guns you go hunting with or the type you would have a concealed weapons permit for. We are just talking about sensible gun legislation, the types of guns that are capable of killing people should be banned.

People like Dick Cheney oppose this because they support the killing of people. Dick Cheney, as we all know, shot, and nearly killed his close friend with a high powered assault rifle. Those are the types of guns we are talking about!

Let’s take a look at the history of guns…

Cain and Able, two brothers. Cain was a farmer and while farming found a corn stalk gun. That corn stalk gun jumped into the hands of Cain and forced him to kill his brother. Cain loved his brother so much but that corn stalk gun forced Cain to kill Able against his will! This was the first recorded murder and like every single murder in the history of man, was committed by a high powered assault rifle.

Lizzy Borden found a high powered assault rifle called ‘the axe’ and shot her step mother nineteen times and her father numerous times. Fortunately for Lizzy Borden, the jury was liberal and compassionate and found her innocent. The high power ‘AXE’ assault rifle was off the hook because of radical right wing extremist called ‘lumber jacks’ wouldn’t let congress outlaw the AXE assault rifle. We know the ‘lumber jacks’ are right wing extremist because they were very active in destroying the environment.

Poor Lizzy had to live the rest of her life with the shame of knowing that the high powered ‘Axe’ assault rifle was still free to force somebody else to kill their parents, just like it forced Lizzy to kill her parents, whom she loved very much.

And who can forget Jack? This poor guy was brainwashed by a high powered assault rifle known as ‘The Knife’. This weapon was so powerful that it forced Jack to kill over and over again, and he would completely forget about it by morning time. Still to this day, that high powered assault rifle remains, somewhere in hiding. We must outlaw high powered assault rifles before ‘The Knife’ comes out of hiding!

You can call me delusional, you can make fun of me all that you want because I want Illinois to answer for crimes, but Illinois is still just a suburb of Chicago. I am still the mayor of Chicago and its suburbs, Illinois included!

Gun extremist in Illinois are guilty of the murder of two teen age girls because they continue to aid and abet the insane criminal ‘high powered assault rifle’. I have the police and the District Attorney’s office working hard to outlaw the high powered assault rifle that did this. If you know who was forced to pull the trigger of the high powered assault rifle that killed these girls, please let him know that we understand he didn’t want to kill the girls, the gun made him do it.

We will grant him complete amnesty because he isn’t responsible for the gun crime, the gun is. Guns, as I laid out so very clearly, are responsible for every single murder in the history of mankind. Ban all guns now!

Let us bow our heads and don’t forget your tax payment. Holy Spirit Che Guevara, please give us the power to create a more secure government, one that gives us a division of government that is bigger and better than before. One that will protect us from Hitler Warmonger’s evil friends in the UAE. Please, oh Lord, let Democrats win so we can bring the war on terrorism back to where it belongs, here at home, within our borders. We ask this in your name Holy Spirit Che Guevara.

Senator Feingold: One Lonely Man

Senator Russ Feingold’s proposal to censure President Bush over the Chief Executive’s counterterror measure of having the NSA monitor telephone calls between terrorists and their co-conspirators between phones inside the U.S. and phones overseas has his fellow Senate Democrats scuttling around in profound embarrassment as they desperately “avoid the media at all costs” on the issue.

Democratic senators, filing in for their weekly caucus lunch yesterday, looked as if they’d seen a ghost.

“I haven’t read it,” demurred Barack Obama (Ill.).

“I just don’t have enough information,” protested Ben Nelson (Neb.). “I really can’t right now,” John Kerry (Mass.) said as he hurried past a knot of reporters — an excuse that fell apart when Kerry was forced into an awkward wait as Capitol Police stopped an aide at the magnetometer.

Hillary Rodham Clinton (N.Y.) brushed past the press pack, shaking her head and waving her hand over her shoulder. When an errant food cart blocked her entrance to the meeting room, she tried to hide from reporters behind the 4-foot-11 Barbara Mikulski (Md.).

“Ask her after lunch,” offered Clinton’s spokesman, Philippe Reines. But Clinton, with most of her colleagues, fled the lunch out a back door as if escaping a fire.

So this one senator, who mistakenly “spoke for his party”, now feinds himself standing by himself after putting his fellow Dems on the spot. It seems that as the midterm elections grow nearer, even the Democrats who have shamelessly slandered the President over the War On Terror are beginning to attempt to try and create temporary facades of responsibility and patriotism, and Mr. Feingold is raining on their parade.

It’s enough to make you laugh with free, uncontrolled mirth at the way these opportunists and liars suddenly hide themselves from their own media to the point of sneaking out convenient back doors.

Poor, lonely Senator Feingold is understandably piqued at the lack of backup he’s receiving from his Democrat colleagues.

Sen. Russell Feingold on Tuesday blamed fellow Democrats for inaction on his stalled resolution to censure President Bush for his authorizing the National Security Agency’s electronic terrorist surveillance program.

“I’m amazed at Democrats … cowering with this president’s numbers so low,” said Feingold, D-Wis. “The administration … just has to raise the specter of the War on Terror, and Democrats run and hide.”

Heh heh heh….

Tom Tancredo For President!

In Tom Tancredo, we have a strong conservative who is committed to goals such as limited government, the right of American citizens to keep and bear arms, secure borders and realistic immigration laws. He looks to me like the ideal Republican candidate for 2008, and I certainly hope he runs.

Here’s his condensed bio as it appears on his website:

Congressman Tom Tancredo was born and raised in Colorado. The grandson of an Italian immigrant grandfather, Tom Tancredo worked his way through college to become a school teacher, a legislator, a leader in President Reagan’s renewal of America, a principled conservative thinker and Republican leader.

Representative Tancredo was first elected to Congress in 1998. Tom is now running for his fourth term in the U.S. House of Representatives. Tom serves on the International Relations Committee, the Resources Committee and the all-important Budget Committee. In addition, Congressman Tancredo formed and is Chairman of the 72 member Congressional Immigration Reform Caucus.

For more background on Congressman Tancredo and a read of his ongoing works, this is his official website.

My blog friend Raven over at And Rightly So has begun a Tancredo blog roll to include any fellow bloggers interested in posting endorsements for or news concerning Tom Tancredo.

While the man is running for another term as a Colorado representative, it is my belief and that of others that he could better serve his country from the Oval Office.

There is a website that refers to itself as the “unofficial Tom Tancredo for President” website that’s also well worth a good perusal here.

Together, perhaps we can plant the seed that might grow and blossom into a campaign at the end of which the right politician wins the Presidency in 2008.

UNRWA

There’s a column in today’s Jewish World Review online by Johnathan Tobin on the United Nations Relief And Works Agency{UNRWA}, that discusses a long ongoing issue that the weasels fine folks at Turtle Bay have been ignoring for years, an issue that’s been snowballing quietly along without any coverage by the liberal media that wouldn’t be dwarfed by their tireless flogging of Abu Ghraib, the federal response to Katrina or the monitoring of terrorist phone conversations by the Bush Administration.

As detailed in a new Jewish Telegraphic Agency series of reports on the topic, UNRWA’s record is one of complicity not only with the political ends of the Palestinian movement, but with its violent tactics as well.

Many of UNRWA’s employees are members not only of mainstream Palestinian terror factions such as Fatah, but of the Islamist Hamas group as well. UNRWA suffered a major embarrassment when its former director, the Norwegian bureaucrat Peter Hansen, admitted as much two years ago, saying it was no big deal. Indeed, in the recent Palestinian election, a number of UNRWA workers were Hamas parliamentary candidates.

The U.N. is not, nor has it ever been, a friend to Israel. When Palestinian terrorists blow up a dining room full of Jews having a holiday meal, the Israelis get mild condolences from Koffi Annon while the Palestinians must make due with an equally mild rebuke. When the Israelis counterstrike, they are victimizing the poor, downtrodden, stateless Arabs who have Semtexed their way out of having a state of their own repeatedly.

What did Abba Eban say?

“The Palestinians never lose the chance to miss an opportunity,” or something like that.

Instead, they terrorize, and much of that tax generated bounty we and other countries, via the U.N., send to the UNRWA helps to finance that terrorism. There are even Hamas terrorists on UNRWA staff!

What’s up with that?

Only an idiot could believe that the U.N. officials who oversee UNRWA aren’t totally cognizant of this state of affairs. If they aren’t, they should be delivering croissants door to door or cleaning fish for a living, not heading up an agency of this magnitude at the United Nations.

Back in October, I was emailed a link to an in-depth article on UNRWA written by a journalist who is an expert on Arab-Israeli affairs and related terrorism issues and a tenacious investigator, the venerable Arlene Kushner, and I posted on it and quoted large segments of the article.

It’s a great and informative read, and can be found here.

UNRWA is a corrupt, terror sponsoring disaster financed mostly with our money, and unlike other U.N. agencies assembled to help refugees, it is a Palestinians-only venue and one that has not only failed to produce its stated goals, but managed to oversee the exponential increase, through generations of procreation, of its client load.

The Hammas members on its payroll must laugh at us every day.

Creeping Liberal Victories

Last year I hit the half century mark, and I know I’m not the only conservative who’s done so and taken the time, from time to time, to compare the way things were when I was growing up and the way they are now.

Of course we’ve advanced technologically, more so in the quarter century since Armstrong took that small step for mankind than we did in all the centuries that came before, but socially and politically we in America seem to have regressed in many ways, the changes engendered willingly by Americans – despite the fact that allowing this regression has damaged and continues increasingly to damage our country.

The regression I’m talking about is the decline of patriotism and love of country, the gradual abolishment of our morality, values and the relationship with God our founding fathers incorporated into the documents that have defined our great nation since its inception.

The source of the problem lies to the left of our political center, emanating from the once credible Democratic Party that has since allowed itself to be hijacked by liberals whose only goal seems to be to replace our capitalist republic, synonymous with the awesome success that has made us the richest and most powerful country on earth, with socialism, which has proven time and time again to fail its constituents through astronomic taxation and the removal of personal responsibility from individual citizens by forcing all citizens to carry the weight of a non-achieving and/or unambitious/unmotivated few while shouldering the blame for the failures, transgressions, laziness, stupidity, negligence and other shortcomings of the few.

When I was a kid back in the 1950s and 1960s, a Democrat (all the way up until Jimmy Carter’s presidency taught me the error of my ways) in a Democrat family, nobody in my household ever spoke as disrespectfully and derogatorily of a sitting President as Democrats do today. Comparing a President with Adolf Hitler would have been unthinkable to anyone with a patriotic bone in his body and pushing leftist politics on school children would have been the formula for both parental and administrative outrage leading to the dismissal of an offending teacher. Even with the outpouring of rage and hatred toward the government by the hippie movement over Vietnam and the draft and the support of same by the liberal media and a bunch of ambitious and feckless politicians, there was little if any invective of today’s magnitude advanced by said politicians or newsies. The pols and scribes won their battle – General Giap admitted after we pulled out of Vietnam that we were winning, and had it not been for this loud dissent from those politicians and the media, the North Vietnamese would have surrendered long before our withdrawal.

Certainly, public school faculties maintained the discipline not to preach personal politics to pupils who were there because they had to be, nor to echo the anti-war rhetoric of the left.

Now, thanks to the slow creep of liberal judicial and political influence, teachers’ unions and Marxist organizations like the ACLU being as powerful as they are, teachers like that Jay Bennish asshat are free to rain their farfetched, anti-American diatribes, unchecked, upon their students without restraint and still keep their jobs. Any parental outrage that occurs is all but swept under a rug as the liberal educational system gradually pushes parents’ say in their children’s educations out the door.

In school, we were also given the option of taking a moment for silent prayer every morning. No particular religion was endorsed and we were under no obligation to pray. Nothing was being forced on anyone, nobody was being exposed to anyone else’s beliefs.

Now, thanks to left wing judges, sleazy opportunistic leftist lawyers and again, the ACLU (also sleazy, opportunistic leftist lawyers), such prayers are illegal as they have been falsely branded as a “church and state” issue. It’s come to the point where the ACLU can successfully sue any public institution that sports the Ten Commandments or a Christmas message.

And of course, there’s the Global War On Terror: Muslim extremists have been waging war on our country in one way and another for twenty five years, give or take. They became emboldened during the Clinton Administration, when that President allowed them to commit terrorist attacks on U.S. embassies and one of our naval vessels with virtual impunity, and early into the Bush Administration they brought us 9/11. Unlike his predecessor, George W. Bush responded decisively, first by taking Afghanistan away from the Taliban and helping promote a democracy in its place, then by doing the same in Iraq. He has strengthened our homeland security venues so that no further acts of Islamic terror have occurred, though there have been foiled attempts.

What say the Democrats?

Angry that Bush defeated straw man Al Gore in the 2000 elections and then went on to win a second term, beating John Kerry, the Democrats under their liberal masters have joined the “angry left” in placing anti-Bush politics over the well being of America and her citizens.

Knowing full well that Islamofascism poses what is probably the greatest threat to the safety of U.S. citizens in our nation’s history, they impede Bush’s defensive efforts on that quarter purely in the interests of attempting to make him fail. Democrat politicians rail against the Administration with irresponsible slurs and slanders, they make pronouncements that demoralize our troops in harm’s way and encourage our enemies to fight harder and terrorize more, they support the media when they print or broadcast secret defense data.

We can’t speak plainly and accurately without being censured for political incorrectness or accused of bigotry. A bunch of Muslims can blow people up, slice up a citizen for disagreeing with their views, burn hundreds of cars, vandalize, set embassies on fire in the name of Islam… And the media will bend over backwards to omit the fact that these crimes and terrorist acts were done in Allah’s name, by followers of Islam. At airports and other transportation venues, searching a dark-skinned Arab male who fits the profile of every terrorist in recent history is “racial profiling”, just to appease a few peoples’ sensibilities we have to ignore the natural suspects and search the more unlikely passengers, such as little old Caucasian grandmas and old men in wheelchairs, or preadolescent girls with Barbie dolls.

Had this country been under attack by a huge, well financed, globally based terrorist organization when I was a kid, had an attack the equivalent of 9/11 happened on our soil, the order of the day would have been “rally ‘round the President,” not “Kennedy/Johnson/Nixon/Ford lied, people died.” Our politicians, the media and most Democrats would have acknowledged that we were defending ourselves, that failure to support the administration’s efforts would result in Americans being murdered on our very streets.

Today, things are just the opposite.

The fact that Republicans have been the majority on the Hill since the early 1990s and have been gaining more power ever since renders the underlying victories of the liberals a paradox of sorts. They have woven atheism, socialism and PC into the fabric of our society and even now are twisting the Constitution around to interpretations that have little relationship to the original text. They have found the means to represent child molesters as regular Joes and made same sex marriage a front burner issue, just about turned our schools into anti-American, leftist propaganda institutions and vilified our primary religions while approving that religion which is practiced by people who want to kill us because we are “infidels.” They’ve obstructed the President’s national security policies in times of a serious threat to our country and enabled frivolous lawsuits to become as commonplace as a trip to the grocery store.

And the level of outrage we would have seen during my childhood years had such things even been dreamed of is simply not there, except among those of us who are informed and active on the conservative side.

Did I mention that there was some regression afoot?

The Newspaper Of Record, Indeed!

Diana West has a spot-on commentary about the way the New York Times, once again, manages to go the PC route and ignore pertinent facts in order to whitewash the violence and the suppressed status of women that are both fundamentals of Islam.

Her commentary covers a three part interview with a New York Imam that just concluded in the New York Times.

Such journalistic jaw-droppers abound: not only gaping holes, like the one above, but also dead ends that leave countless questions that the female reporter, it seems, never thought to ask. For example, she notes, over six months of interviews, the Egyptian-born imam refused to shake her hand. “He offers women only a nod,” she writes. Why is shaking hands with a woman “improper”? What does the imam think about sexual equality? She doesn’t tell us. In Belgium last year, she doesn’t mention, the female president of the parliament made headlines for canceling a meeting with an Iranian delegation over this same refusal to shake a woman’s hand (the parliamentarian’s own); while in Holland, the English-language blog Zacht Ei reported, a Muslim man lost a month’s worth of welfare benefits for not only refusing to shake hands with female municipal employees, but also refusing to acknowledge their presence. This is supposed to be “the story of Mr. Shata’s journey west,” but the story bypasses such landmark issues.

Instead, we get a load of happy talk: “Married life in Islam is an act of worship,” Mr. Shata says. So impressed were the editors of The New York Times by this load that they ran the quotation, not just above the fold, but across the very top of the front page over a gold-bathed family photo four columns wide. Does Miss Reporter ask the imam to reconcile this ecstatic notion with the Islamic custom of arranged and forced marriages, the spate of spousal abuse and “honor killings” within European Muslim communities…

UN Envoy: It’s All The Jews’ Fault

It just doesn’t stop, whether it’s the Arabs, antisemitic liberals in the west or members of the U.N.

This time, it’s a South African attorney who is an envoy to the useless, feckless, soulless, spineless, corrupt, pro-terrorist, anti-American, pro-marxism bunch of diplofux at Turtle Bay, one John Dugard.

From an article emailed me today by Ryan Jones, Co-Editor and Website Manager at Jerusalem Newswire,

Almost completely disregarding Palestinian Arab aggression against Israel’s Jews, a United Nations envoy has sought to lay the blame for regional conflict at the doorstep of the Jewish state by misrepresenting and exaggerating Israel’s defensive measures and isolated acts of frustration.

In a special report prepared for next week’s annual meeting of the UN Human Rights Commission, South African lawyer John Dugard charged:

“It seems that settlers are able to terrorize Palestinians and destroy their trees and crops with impunity.”
What he failed to mention, however, are the innumerable stoning, shooting and bombing attacks carried out against the Jewish settlers by the hostile Arab population surrounding them. Often those attacks are launched from the cover of olive groves and fruit orchards, prompting frustrated and threatened Israelis to take matters into their own hands.

Dugard also criticized official Israeli defensive measures both in Gaza and the “West Bank.”

So he’s saying that the Palestinians are blameless, and the Jews are attacking them on a regular basis for no reason, right?

Left out of the equation were the hundreds of rockets and mortar shells that have been fired from Gaza at nearby Negev towns and villages since Israel withdrew from the Strip last summer. Nearly 500 Kassam rockets have been fired since the beginning of this year alone.

Dugard evidently carries with him the same attitude that all Islamist terrorists do: Whatever atrocities we subject you to are perfectly acceptable and not subject to recriminations, because Allah’s on our side and therefore anything we do is right. Anything you do to defend yourselves against our terror attacks is tantamount to oppression, genocide, unreasonable violence and acts against God.

Where Is The Outrage?

I have been kindasorta out of things the last several days as I finally did something about the disappointment of DirecWay satellite broadband:

Despite their self description as “high speed Internet”, they are barely any faster than dial-up and infinitely slower than DSL, yet more than twice as expensive as the latter. They are not as Windows friendly as one might hope, and I observed that the first time I ever ran into any identity theft programs, in this case some asshat in Miami using my card info to make and attempt to make online purchases, was after I began using DirecWay — so much for any kind of ISP security, and the security system I employ on my computer is among the best.

So I’ve just divested myself of DirecWay(unfortunately, I had to purchase the satellite dish and modem when I signed up), but when I cut off the service I informed them that I will not pay them the early cancellation fee, even if I have to spend 10 times the amount fighting them in court. Since I had to close out the card I was using in order to curtail future fraud on my account and it was the same one I was using for Direcway, they’ll have to go after the fee the hard way if they want to try and collect it.

I now have Road Runner, and it’s awesome, even faster than DSL.

That said, I’ve been catching up on my reading in the Blogosphere, and simply must point you to a purrrrfect commentary on the impact of illegal criminal immigration on America, posted on 28 February by my blog sister RomeoCat over at Cathouse Chat.
