Well, That Eliminates Rudy…
I lived in New York for a time when Rudy Giuliani was the mayor, and as far as I’m concerned, he did a great job not only on crime, but also on quality of life and other issues that made the city not only safer, but more pleasant to live in. His handling of the 9/11 aftermath was masterful.
He was the perfect mayor during the years he served New Yorkers in that office.
He is, however, not my choice for the Presidency (I support Tom Tancredo).
His two greatest weaknesses among conservative voters are his anti-gun and pro-abortion stances, but there is one other reason, whose very magnitude dwarfs the first two, why I would not consider him as a viable candidate for the Oval Office, and though I hesitate in some ways to use the T word, that at the very least borders on treason.
GOP presidential hopeful Rudy Giuliani has extensive and deep ties to the NAFTA Superhighway and the construction of the Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC). Giuliani’s law firm, Bracewell & Giuliani, is the exclusive legal council for Cintra, the Spanish firm chosen to operate the I-35 toll road in the TTC.
Okay, I know that’s a profoundly harsh word to use, the above quoted paragraph notwithstanding, but an August Review article by Cliff Kincaid more than adequately explains my choice of words here.
Evidence shows that NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement involving the U.S., Canada and Mexico, is being expanded without congressional approval or oversight as part of a plan to create an economic and political entity known as the North American Union.
Brit Hume said on the Fox News Sunday program that it is possible that Republican frontrunner Rudy Giuliani could overcome his convoluted posturing on abortion and secure the Republican presidential nomination in 2008. But Giuliani has some other major problems. These include foreign clients, one of whom is constructing part of the “NAFTA Superhighway” project that has people in Texas and around the nation up in arms.
Hume, the moderator of Tuesday night’s Republican presidential debate in South Carolina, will be in a position to ask Giuliani about it. Questions will also be posed by Fox News Sunday host Chris Wallace and White House correspondent Wendell Goler.
Evidence shows that NAFTA, the North American Free Trade Agreement involving the U.S., Canada and Mexico, is being expanded without congressional approval or oversight as part of a plan to create an economic and political entity known as the North American Union ( NAU). Federal documents uncovered by Judicial Watch quote participants in the scheme as saying that an “evolution by stealth” strategy is being used to put the pieces into place. Documents also speak of developing a common security perimeter and a common identification card for citizens of the three countries.
With the exception of Lou Dobbs of CNN, our national media have ignored not only the process that is well underway but the growing outcry over what is happening. Resolutions against the NAU have been introduced in 14 state legislatures-and have passed in two-and thousands of people have turned out in Texas to protest a Trans-Texas Corridor (TTC) highway system, which will link the U.S., Mexico and Canada. Critics say the project is being funded by foreign interests, could run roughshod over private property rights, and could facilitate illegal activities, such as the trafficking of people and drugs, from Mexico.
I’ve been posting about the NAU, on and off, for some time, and readers here know that I take all evidence of this behind-the-scenes manipulation quite seriously, rather than as the nutjob conspiracy skeptics brand it as. It is an early and rudimentary element of the covert process that is intended to consummate in full globalization; We would no longer be Americans. We would be citizens of the world.
I was born and raised in America, cherish America and don’t particularly feel the need to spend my golden years in a non-sovereign, micromanaged, shadow-of-its-former-self America.
Read Cliff Kincaid’s entire article.
The target year for the NAU to assume its official position is 2010. Do we really want to see one of its major players and profiteers, a man who, despite his great public stature and his claims of patriotism, is willing to sell out his country as a sovereign entity, serve a term as POTUS that both includes and surrounds that year?
I don’t think so….
Hat Tip and considerably more to Cubed.

Wow! I am way off. I thought this NAU thing had to do with lifting Tarriff’s off the US Product’s we ship abroad.
As I unserstand it we get taxed twice when our shipment’s go overseas and reach the port of destination when the imports never get taxed at all.
I guess I beeter read this thing again.

George Bush and his counterparts in Canada and Mexico signed off, without consulting their respective congresses/parliaments, or speaking to the media, on the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America (SPP). They chose SPP because North American Union (NAU), the real agenda, would never go over with those of us who are critical of the EU and value our nation’s sovereignty. The Committee on Foreign Relations (CFR) is carrying the ball and keeping the whole deal extremely quiet.
Very few Fourth Estate types have been privvy to any real information on the NAU, though bits and pieces have begun leaking out and being reported by alternative media and more lately, an increasing number of blogs, though still few.
If the NAU planners succeed, the Constitution would play second fiddle to a continental governing body and democracy as we know it would become history — Corporate owned Mexican and Canadian politicians would have a say in our laws. There would be totally open borders, Mexicans wouldn’t have to sneak in anymore or worry about ICE, because they would be carrying cards identifying them as citizens of North America, as Europeans do their EU ID Cards.
The rich people who are supporting this treasonous abomination see little to worry about, as they will remain untouched by the drawbacks in the lives of rank and file citizens, while their business interests will grow smoothly.
The next step from that will be North America joining a global union with the EU and others, almost certainly under the auspices of the U.N., which is where the Trilateral Commission will certainly come into its own. If you scroll down the linked Answers dot Com page, you will see a highly interesting list of commission members and realize the bipartisan scope of those working covertly to force a world government on us.
Interestingly enough, my ex-wife, who was not very interested in politics, was cognizant of the true aims of the Trilateral Commission as far back as its early days during the Carter Administration and spoke warningly of it, which just goes to show she had far better instincts than I did at the time, as back then I didn’t give it much thought.

It sounds sinister for us common citizens: enough so, that I doubt it would get far. From a historical standpoint, it has the makings of a third triumvirate, Octavius, Lepidus & Mark Antony being replaced by Bush, Harper & Calderon. We know how short-lived triumvirates are.

I have enough reasons not to vote for Rudy that this is just extra. Put him where he’ll do the most good (and he has some real strong points) and the least harm (cause he has some big flaws too), and find the best we can for the White House. Of course if it comes down to him or Hitlery . . . well . . . the lesser of two evils, while still evil, is valid in politics, but hopefully we can get someone better than him.

If you have a free 54 minutes, watch the video linked here. The woman giving the lecture is a Canadian and she is pretty liberal.

I’m hoping to see the three “front runners” get themselves ousted in the primaries, which may yet be a possibility. There’s still a long way to go and the more serious conservatives do not include any of those three.

BTW, have you seen this?

I blogged about this NAU thing awhile back, Seth, and many conservative bloggers whom I respect says it’s a myth. Michael Medved says it’s a myth. Now I don’t know what to believe. The evidence seems to point to the contrary, but I sincerely home Medved and those bloggers are right.

I have read refutals of the “myth” by others, but all the evidence I’ve read of combined with ongoing political events tell me this is a reality.
I believe that the only way, at this point, we will see the NAU agenda headed off will be through the election of Tom Tancredo or another seriously patriotic POTUS and some America first members of Congress in 2008.

Seth,
I’m one of those bloggers who gayle referenced. I most certainly respect your opinions, and you’re not the only conservative blog-buddy I have who believes in the dangers of this. But I seriously see this as a conspiracy theory.
My post at Flopping Aces references Human Events, which is pretty far to the right. You’d think if there was anything to this, they’d be all over it.
Among other things, please read
And from Medved:
Shame on Demagogues Exploiting NAU
Flushing Out Fear Mongers from Their Fever Swamps
An open letter to a worried patriot: Why you needn’t lose sleep over a “North American Union”

I assure you, the last things I am are paranoid or conspiracy prone.
I do, however, tend to be analytical, a trait I picked up as an investigator and as a Protection (Security) professional. I associate events many people ignore as possibly related to one another, based upon commonalities.
When I first became aware of the existence of the SPP, then the fact that it was an agreement between the three heads-of-state in North America that excluded the three federal legislatures, I began looking into it.
Not only per any established talking points that support theories on the “threat value” of the SPP, but also changes in our leadership’s approach to governing the United States.
The immigration issue stands out, especially in the amnesty support that comes from both sides of the aisle, including from the Oval Office.
It must be noted that should we be flooded to the point of drowning in a tidal wave of amnesty, none of the people forcing that fate upon us will much care — they are all rich and they all share the helm of the marketplace, or graft therefrom — their lives will not be disrupted.
The SPP (Security & Prosperity Partnership of North America) is a candy-coated term for NAU (North American Union), in which every resident of this continent will carry the same sort of ID card as EU citizens do that guarantee them instant entry into any Euro-country, only in our case it will be any citizen of the U.S., Mexico or Canada.
So much for ICE.
I won’t go on, I’ll just say, “Let’s see what we’re up to in late 2010…”
