Tom Tancredo For President
He’s my pick, has been since long before there was any serious talk of his running for President, and I’m standing by his campaign in contribution and support.
Blogger Patriot at America Needs Tom Tancredo For President has this excellent Tancredo 2008 video posted at his site.
Representative Tom Tancredo, unlike most of the rest of the Republican field, lives up to the expectations of those conservatives who put him in office, serves up not one iota of political correctness (He’s a man who speaks his piece, period) and he represents a strong, true American’s stand on those issues most vital to the security and sovereignty of the United States.
A good look at Congressman Tancredo and his beliefs in action can be had at his official website.

Haven’t seen this guy to much, but what I have seen, has been impressive. They make it seem like you have loooooooong elections, but most of it is a leadership race.

Tancredo is an in-your-face kind of guy, he asks the questions that need to be asked without routing them through indirect PC channels and he says what he thinks.
He is what the U.S. needs as a successor to Bush, to see the War on Terror through, secure our borders and let the world know that the United States is not to be trifled with. He is a true patriot, unlike all too many American politicians.
You’re right, our Presidential campaigns go on for a long time, but it’s a part of our political culture: Every voter has every opportunity and a lot of time to decide whom he/she believes will best serve the interests of the U.S. if elected. The only flaw in this system is that the MSM is able to misinform the voting public, via bullshit, with reports, editorials and OpEds that are steeply biased to the left, sending people to the polls with the wrong information with which to cast their votes.
In highly technical terms, I’ll say, “It sucks”.

Thanks Seth. You also have to look at it another way, I guess. With such a long process, it will bring out the true nature of the people running, and if a critical mistake is made that would change peoples assessments of the person, it would probably occur in the stresses of campaigning for such a period of time. As for MSM …. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Grrrrrrrrrrrr is right. Whenever I hear of a liberal reporter such as those at the NYT saying something about having a committment to inform the public or maintain high standards of fair and balanced reporting, I want to barf.
As soon as Tancredo begins to make headway in his campaign, the MSM will zero in on him.
Kerry was the perfect example of a politician whose true nature became evident during his campaign in 2004.

Excluding the “name-you-know” candidates, there are actually a few strong conservatives throwing their hats in this time out, the ones from whom we haven’t heard much in the way of self marketing because they’ve been too busy doing their jobs.
