You’ve Got To Read This
One of the columnists I never miss is Suzanne Fields. Every adjective I could possibly apply to her column is glowing.
This one is a must-read :
That’s what the culture wars are all about. Men and women will sometimes die for an abstract idea, but it’s usually the specific way of life they love and their love for it that drives them resolutely into harm’s way.
Read the column, it’s definitely in the masterpiece class.

Wonderful article. I especially liked that she mentions:”The intelligentsia,” writes Lee Harris in Policy Review, “has no idea of the consequences that would ensue if Middle America lost its simple faith in G-d and its equally simple trust in its fellow men. Their plain virtues and homespun beliefs are the bedrock of decency and integrity in our nation and in the world.”Very true, not only that, but if the Islamists win, the people who will suffer the most will be the whinny intellectuals. Noam Chomsky & Cornell West should move to Saudi Arabia & try harping about the Saudi royal family. Then, they can experience true oppression.

Yup, our liberals always espouse whatever ongoing cause is most dangerous to Americans and our form of government.Before the USSR went Chapter 11, they championed the cause of Communism, singing its praises, ignoring the bald fact that people were risking their very lives in attempts to escape from Communist countries and come here.It never seemed to bother these asshats that had they lived in the Soviet Union and sang the praises of democracy, they’d've ended up in a gulag or in some other unpleasant penal situation.No matter what, America is evil to them, even as they enjoy all the freedoms we do here that citizens in the countries whose governments they support don’t even know exist.
