The Left-Leaning Politicians…
…in the U.S. Congress aren’t all that different from their counterparts that infest the British Parliament. They’re certainly right behind the Brits in engineering this state of affairs.
“We supposedly live in a truly democratic society where freedom of speech is a fundamental right enjoyed by everyone,” friction.tv Chief Marketing Officer Andy West said in a press release. “However these survey results have shown rather powerfully that most adults in the U.K. feel that this is not the case.”
West added, “We live in such a politically correct society that people don’t know what they can and can’t say anymore and there is a constant fear that if you go against the grain, you’ll be vilified by your peers.”
Sally McNamara, a senior policy analyst in European Affairs for the Heritage Foundation’s Margaret Thatcher Center for Freedom, blamed recent British policy.
“The government’s role in any free society is to ensure the safety of its citizenry and pursue policies that guarantee basic rights for all law-abiding people,” she told Cybercast News Service on Monday. “This has been taken to the extreme; legislating against language, behavior, etc.”
Perhaps we should learn from the Brits’ mistakes before it’s too late — if it isn’t already…

I got a buddy you may see from time to time on my blog named Nem from Britain I talk to daily, and you got it right my friend as he says as well. This liberal mental disease is spreading amongst these two stalwart beacons of freedom like AIDS in a bathhouse, and when we’re both totally infected there’s nothing left standing between the Muslims and world Islamic rule as alarmist as that sounds.
That is of coarse if the damn Mexicans don’t succeed first in re annexing the US back in to Mexico thanks to our spineless and treasonous politicians Led by Benedict Jorge Bush we now know live on both sides of the aisle. They took a big step towards kicking us Americans in the ‘nads for good today with that Senate 64-35 amnesty vote. It’s uphill from here man, that much we know for sure. Bush really stabbed us in the back friend, didn’t he.
As for the The Framers, they woulda’ given up on the americans of today after the freeing of the slaves 150 years ago I think, as bad as slavery was they sure didn’t seem to mind it.(lol kinda)
Keep up the fine work Seth

We have forgotten the mistakes that we learned from the Brits that made us a Nation. We are so far removed from the wisom fo the Founders and the Constitution that was designed to avoid the British form of rule that we most likely will fall into the same traps as the Brits.

You’re right, Seth. Sadly enough, we never seem to learn from anyone’s mistakes, not even our own, as is proven by people wanting us to withdraw our troops from Iraq, and the history lesson that Vietnam provides is not that old!

Ray –
Thanks.
Last year between Christmas and New Years I had a few colleagues as guests at my house in North Carolina. One was a Brit who has been in gov’t service over there for over 20 years, and he expresses the same opinion as Nem, also believing that this PC attitude is a very good friend of Islamofascism. Among other things, it restricts any attempts at warning the public of the truth concerning the imminent dangers we face from an enemy within.

Bush’s amnesty plans are a real disappointment for every true conservative, but they are also part of an agenda of his (SPP/NAU) whose fruition we’ll like even less.

It’s always the same, again thanks to the left. They revise history via the MSM and public education, so that no lessons will be learned and they can run the same failed political agendas over and over.

There again, we have the left’s revisionism in play. They portray Vietnam the same way they do Iraq, blaming corporate greed and major corruption (remember the “Military Industrial Complex”?), ignoring the real reasons for our going to or having gone to war, and never mention results like the genocidal aftermath of our premature withdrawal from Southeast Asia.
Liberals’ obvious goals, if succeeding, will result in the same phenomenon that once engendered the need, elsewhere in the world, for Radio Free Europe.

Tom Tancredo is my candidate as long as he is running. As far as Fred goes, though, he’s easily a better choice than Mitt, Rudi or RINO McCain.
I was living in Manhattan when the Hildebeast ran for Senator. I remember a reader comment in the Daily News that, “It’s great that Hillary’s running for the Senate, but… couldn’t she do it in Little Rock?”
