I Would Have To say…
… that Greg Crosby’s got it spot-on.
Further evidence, to my way of thinking, that today’s Democrats are no less an enemy of the United States than al-Qaeda; not necessarily by design, but via either naivety or downright stupidity, take your pick.
And they call Bush stupid!

Did you notice during the State of the Union that every time Bush mentioned victory or success in the war not only did the Dems not stand they would not even clap. Each of the victory statements were not in conjunction with the “new strategy.” The Dems poved last night they do not want victory only surrender!

Ken –
Just watching Pelosi’s expression as she listened to the speech said it all, the behavior of the rest of the Dems matched perfectly. They are not for victory, they would rather see the U.S. lose all credibility as a military power or as a country that can be counted on to see a thing through. As with Vietnam, they would not mind seeing the sacrifices of our wounded and dead in Iraq be for nothing. I don’t know exactly when it happened, but somewhere along the line, the Democrats lost their souls.
I tend to agree with Greg Crosby that between the battering from the Dems on the Hill and the outright lies from the MSM, a misinformed public might well vote a Democrat into the White House in 2008, and before 2 years go by, we will see some more 9/11-style terrorism on our soil. Of course, the Dems will blame Bush, even with one of their own in the Oval Office.

Useful idiots comes to mind; however, I believe the plot is actually much thicker. I believe the overall effort is aimed at emasculating the US before the world. …Damned if I’ll give mine up!!

Old Soldier –
That is the essence of the plot — to dismantle the U.S. in every way possible in order to rebuild it in their own socialist image.
They’re not gonna get mine, either.
