One Nation Under G-d
Sorry I haven’t posted anything since New Year’s Eve, but I’ve been beyond swamped in catching up on a ton of work I took a couple of breaks from to entertain over Christmas and New Year’s, reading credit reports and checking references of prospective tenants to rent my house to, preparing the house for a tenant as much as I can while still living in it and sorting things out for my own move, and I’ve had precious little time to spend keeping up with my email, let alone my blog.
I finally got some time to visit a few of my favorite sites and do a little bit of other reading, and ran across this Ronald Reagan quote at the head of the comment section over at Gayle’s blog:
If we ever forget we are a nation Under God, we will become a nation gone under.
It brought to mind an excellent OpEd by Dennis Prager that appeared in Wednesday’s Jewish World Review that I would like to share, which can be found here.
As in all things, the atheist left in this country bases their propaganda strategies on those of their communist brethren of Cold War Europe — knowing that they’ll never sell their anti God agenda to the masses using any kind of honest approach, they choose instead to sleaze sneak around behind our proverbial backs; revise history, depicting our founding fathers as atheists wherever they can get away with it, working through our education system, and quell all public symbols and references to G-d via the legal system.
Their godlessness, hell, downright soullessness makes it easy for them to impugn, besmirch, exaggerate, spin, attack and lie without compunction.
Their utterly twisted goal is to engender spiritual barrenness in future generations, a prerequisite to establishing the kind of leftist country they wish to see America become.
Personally, I pray to G-d that America’s belief in Him remains firm, and that this enemy within fails miserably. I love my country and its traditions and Judeo-Christian beliefs just as they are, thank you.

Americas faith in Him as a people hasn’t changed it is the left and the PC that has tried to force freedom of religion into freedon from religion especially where Christianity is concerned.

Ken –
Agreed.
That is why they are working on our youth, via the education system. By revising history and rendering G-d anathema in our schools and by using the courts to eradicate references to Him throughout the public domain, they are targeting future generations.
Remember, when we were growing up we had plentiful exposure to prayer, symbols and other expression of religion than today’s children and young adults are getting, thanks to liberals’ attacks on same. Much depends upon parents of today engendering a strong sense of belief in G-d in their homes.

Amen, Seth!
The most effective way to attack an enemy is to attack its foundation. That is the Satanic example given in Genesis. Atheism questions the foundational belief in God and supplants it with morale relativism. It is especially effective in formative minds.
We must never allow our God fearing nation to go under.

Wonderful post, Seth, and thanks for the link!

I noticed this excellent paragraph from Prager’s article:
If you are undecided which side to fight for, perhaps this will help: Western Europe has already become a secular society with secular values. If you think Western Europe is a better place than America and that it has a robust future, you should be working to remove Judeo-Christian influence from American life. On the other hand, if you look at Europe and see a continent adrift, with no identity and no strong values beyond economic equality and possessing little capacity to identify evil, let alone a will to fight it, then you need to start fighting against the secularization of America.
The left is determined to turn America into the same moral disaster as Europe. And our educational institutions, with their revisionist and blatantly anti-American slant, are going to accomplish this goal if we lovers of liberty aren’t very, very vigilant and pro-active about stopping the undermining of the American way of life!

Seth,
A personal note here….Glad to see you blogging again, despite the overwhelming circumstances you’re dealing with!

I believe that in the media and in the school system, liberal ideology thrives and multiplies. This includes the secularization from groups like the ACLU, and the push for political correctness and multiculturalism.
Remember, when we were growing up we had plentiful exposure to prayer, symbols and other expression of religion than today’s children and young adults are getting, thanks to liberals’ attacks on same.
My family is not Christian. My mom’s Buddhist; my dad’s an atheist. Yet we celebrated Christmas and called it Christmas. In our own way, we honored the Christian holiday.
I grew up watching and loving the claymation, “Little Drummer Boy”, which was very religious; as well as A Charlie Brown Christmas, with Linus quoting from the Bible. Because of my exposure to Christianity, I did not grow up offended by talks of Jesus. I did not fear its influence on my life.
You’d think that multiculturalism is about acceptance and tolerance, of ALL cultures, including Christianity. Instead, what we get is the minimalization of Christianity’s influence on our nation and in its foundation; and the propping up of “equal status” to all cultures. But the fact is, in terms of historical significance and contributions to the building of America, all things are not equal; nor should they be.

These people have already destroyed Europe, even though they wouldn’t have put up a fight anyway, and now they want to destroy the rest of the western world. I just wondering at what point the people say enough, and take it back, and hopefully that time is soon.

Old Soldier –
Exactly.
Our nation’s foundation is our belief in G-d and His laws. The enemy, sadly comprised of fellow Americans, is doing whatever it can to erode this foundation.
It’s not very different from living in a wooden house and having a termite infestation.
Gayle –
Your Reagan quote was the inspiration for this post. Thank you!
AOW –
The left’s dominance over our educational system may well be our undoing. Like the Nazis in conquered countries, the Soviets in their own schools, etc, they teach whatever lies they feel they must to recruit for their pitiful causes or for themselves. It used to be that parents could send their children to school without worrying, but not anymore. If I were a parent today, my children would definitely be homeschooled.

I believe that in the media and in the school system, liberal ideology thrives and multiplies…
I travel much less hopefully than you do as far as the above is concerned; I believe that in both fields, liberals totally rule the roost as owners.
Multiculturalism is no friend of any free country. It is no more than a vehicle for the same leftists who would bring America down, in this case by overdilution.
AB –
I think that taking back the majority re recognition of the true state of affairs will be a long and hard road, as the left has pretty well set up housekeeping on the media and educational fronts. Unfortunately (in extreme), they quite literally own both fields.

And there are some who go so far as wanting to make it illegal to teach your religion to your own children, but so far they are only speaking up in Europe (as far as I know.)

If there is any such activity here, it’s probably to be found in San Francisco and Berkeley.

Those I described do sound rather like the Democrats, come to think of it, LOL.
My Christmas and New Years were fun, though only “memorable” (what I can remember) in places — we really made some inroads into my bar. Other than one 5th of Jack Daniels black, 1/3 of a bottle of Jack Daniel’s green, some Tanqueray #10, some Maker’s Mark and some Stolichnaya, all that remain are about a dozen bottles of liqueurs in various stages of use. If I weren’t leaving and needed to restock, it would cost me a small fortune.
