Those Who Vote Democrat Tomorrow….
…. will do so because, out of negligence, malevolence toward the right or simple ignorance , take your pick, they want for themselves and their fellow Americans what is on this list at Always On Watch.

Seth,
For whatever reason, you and I will vote for sure and probably opposite. You wondered about Idaho politics and it is very very red state: formerly Frank Church territory, we went conservative in the Reagan Revolution (well some of us ancient liberals were immune) and have been ever since. Senators and congressmen GOP,
state legislature 75% GOP (kinda like you’d like the US) Oddly, we always elect a Dem to School superindendant, and up in the panhandle there are enough diehards (University and labor) to make an inconsiquential blue mark on the state.
This year, though, there has been quite a shift and everyone is running neck and neck. I suspect we will remain red though. Odd thing about us
rare Idaho liberal species: we avoid sushi, drive huge pickups, are too naive to be ‘pointy headed intellects’, shoot varmints, drink wine
and bourbon from the bottle and are shabby dressers. Idaho went 70% for GWB last time and
our twist is “Better red than dead” regarding our map color. Win or lose, I love watching the election returns…and was wondering if you have prepped up two versions for your post-election
celebration or commiseration?

It will be celebration, I’m sure. Just look at the way all these polls are going at the last minute.
Normally, I don’t have a lot of use for polls, but the extreme changes indicate that a lot of Americans are coming out of the wood work, moderates headed right, etc.
Though, I never celebrate election results: If the bad guys win, I accept that America has spoken. When the good guys win, I know that America has voted responsibly.

At this point, I think I dread the electoral post mortems more than the results themselves. The only thing worse will be if the balance of Congress is tied up in court battles - then we all lose.

Civil Truth –
I hope we don’t get dragged through the litigious sore loser process.
Although I’m expecting to see the Republicans retain majorities in both the House and the Senate, the polls will be the deciding factor — or at least they should.
The Democrats, after all these years of well deserved, endless defeat, seem to be getting increasingly more desperate every election year, so it wouldn’t surprise me if their reaction to yet another trouncing will be to cry “foul!”, rather than finally get it through their heads that their agendas are not what the majority of Americans want.

Lots of malevolent, ignorant traitors turned out to vote it seems Seth.
Oh well.

I will not bother rising to your indubitably self styled “provocative” comment here-in, as I intend to post on the election results a little later, anyway.

Hmmmm.
Can’t wait for your analysis.
