97 reasons(+ 1)….
…. not to vote Democrat on Election day are made more than apparent by two of my favorite right-thinking women.
Raven of And Rightly So posts on 97 excellent reasons here,
and the venerable Melanie Morgan provides another sterling reason here.
Those Democrats have really changed since the days of JFK, it seems all the fight’s gone out of them, except where their wars against our national security and the preservation of the American way of life are concerned.

The Dems whom I personally know have voted Republican ever since 9/11.

I don’t think JFK, Harry Truman, or a host of other great ones would consider themselves Democrats today. They would proudly wearing the elephant.

AOW –
Since I was in San Francisco at the time, after the initial shock wore off, most of the Dems — or more accurately out there, extreme lefties (a moderate Democrat is almost like a redneck to some of those people) went right back to type.
People in Berkeley, right afterwards, were yelling that America deserved it!
You are fortunate to know some common sense Democrats. They are a dying breed.
Shoprat –
I completely agree. My grandfather was a conservative Democrat, I think he would have voted Republican given today’s choices, as well.

You are welcome. Both links simply screamed to be shared, LOL.

The leaders of the Democratic party have nothing in common with Democrats in JFK’s day; nothing whatsoever. They have not just changed, the’ve mutated beyond recognition. Unfortuntely, I know several Democrats who don’t recognize this because they don’t pay close enough attention. I try telling them that their party has been hijacked by socialist moonbats, but they don’t listen. They are in total denial! If they would just listen to Dean, Pelosi, Kerry, Kennedy, etc., they would know I’m right, but I guess they’ve more important things to do! GRRRRR! I don’t see what could be anywhere near as important as what’s going on in politics right now.
There’s going to be a lot of uninformed voters out there and that’s what worries me. I bookmarked the page with the 97 reasons on it so that I can run copies of it to pass out to some people. Couldn’t hurt!

Vote Republican.
Keep pedophiles in office.
Bye the bye Gail. Talk about political parties mutating. Dick Nixon wouldn’t recognize the fundamentalists in power these days. After all, he came up with the idea of a guaranteed income as part of his Family Assistance program.
Dick Nixon. Socialist moonbat?

While I didn’t agree with the motives behind Nixon’s taking Moynihan’s advice — yes, Nixon was advised by a Democrat on that issue, for some strange reason he trusted Moynihan for advice on serious issues — and it was shot down by the Senate, as I recall… nor did I think it was such a good idea, and I was still a Democrat at the time, go figure, the issue was a complicated one from Nixon’s standpoint.
You obviously just grabbed another of your half-baked, bumper sticker ideas out of the air without doing any kind of research before spewing.
If I were Gayle, I might not even dignify your comment with a reply.
Why don’t you go visit your favorite search engine and do some studying?

Arthur doesn’t know the difference between a pedophile and an ephebophile.

Arthur doesn’t seem to know the difference between many things, LOL. In this case, maybe he doesn’t know because, contrary fellow that he is, he somehow managed to skip puberty.

Letting the liberals hijack their party was the beginning of the end for relevancy of the Democratic party.
The open sore on the donkey oozes profound immaturity, complete lack of direction, extreme dishonesty and a total lack of concern for what comes out of their mouths.
An evangelist registers his disapproval of pedophiles or of same sex marriage, and he’s suddenly under attack, accused of being a religious extremist.
Bush absorbs years of vicious attacks and exaggerated, spun or flat-out lying leftist innuendo, and the second he finally starts defending himself, he’s “attacking” the Democrats.
Anyone who disagrees with even the most far-out lefty agenda is automatically a racist.
I agree, if any sane, thinking Democrat actually listened to the vicious mallarkey spewed by today’s Dem politicians, they would have to be either unforgiveably negligent, hostile to America or the American way of life, profoundly stooooopid, related to said politicians or any combination of the above to vote for any of these critters.

Along with Arthur, I had to look up ephibophile.
Wonder if that applied in the case of congressman Mark Foley. In any event, he did the honorable thing by resigning, rather than arguing over the definition of “is”. BTW,As an uncouth consumer of a brown Missoula ale called
‘MooseDrool’, what IS wrong about white zinfandel?

Moose Drool?
LOL!
How does it compare to Newcastle Brown Ale (one of my favorites)?
That’s the second time I’ve heard that expression about white zinfandel in the last few months, and I, too, am baffled. Maybe white zinfandel is the Charlie Brown (why is everybody always pickin’ on me?) of wines, heh.

Seth,
Newcastle Brown Ale is similar and color/consistancy to MooseDrool..I believe an affectionado would term Newcastle slightly “nuttier”. Clearly, I’m no affectionado! There is a burgeoning wine industry to our west where the yokels can go and sip and swirl (MooseDrool brewery also has a nice
visitors area where this yokel goes and burps)
I am visiting relatives in the midwest the next couple of weeks, and per request am hauling a trunkful of MooseDrool for distribution. I think
they like the goofy picture of the dribbling moose on the label. One daughter usually likes the college hangout ‘Old Chicago’, so will likely catch up on Newcastle tasting there. (gave up trying to get an OC T-shirt for having a bottle of each of their 112 microbrews) Upon returning to ‘my private Idaho’ I shall venture
to the vinyards and wineries and find out the
AWFUL TRUTH about white zinfandel!

While they were still there, I was a regular at an establishment called Ryan’s Irish Pub on Bourbon Street. They had three bars. The upstairs bar was called Ryan’s Loft and was presided over by a cool redhead we called Shelly From Hell. You couldn’t go to her bar for one beer without getting majorly hammered, heh.
They had a program called “Around the World with Ryan’s Loft” in which you did a checklist of 43 beers from different countries, including beers from Italy, China, Germany and some real out of the way places, plus Xingu from Brazil, Chimay ale… When you completed the checklist, you got a certificate and a green freezer mug they kept on ice for you (Ryan’s Loft was mostly a local regulars hang-out). I was the second person to “earn the mug”, and I did it in half the time of the first person to do so (obviously over a period of days).
Xingu is a powerful black beer in a really tall bottle. I once told a Brazilian friend that I knew why they speak Portuguese in Brazil. I told him, “Drink three or four Xingus and you’re speaking Portuguese, whether you like it or not.”

BB,
Yes, ephebophile applies to Foley’s case. Many homosexual men like young adolescent males, just as many hetero men leer at adolescent girls. It’s been that way since the Greeks. I’m glad Foley resigned too; he is a disgrace. Also, many of the Roman Catholic priests involved in the scandal were also homosexual men who were ephebophiles, not pedophiles, as the vast majority of their victims were adolescent males. Finally, the Church has recognized this and the Pope has clamped down on the allowance of “deeply seated homosexual” men in seminaries.
White zinfandel is not a real wine. It’s PINK, for one thing, and no serious oenophile would even consider pouring down his gullet. But then, I don’t care for white wine either…

If this keeps up, I’m going out and buy a philing cabinet, LOL.
Personally, although I do keep some good Chardonnay and Riesling around for those who prefer white wine, I am partial to and stock good red wines myself.
However, I do know several people who really enjoy white zinfandel and then only specific brands. You could give them, say, a glass of 2 year old WZ (their brand), then a glass of, say, 5 year old Anapamu Syrah and one of maybe a 2000 Biagio Toscana, neither very expensive yet both very pleasurable, and after drinking all three they would reach for a refill from the WZ bottle.

“Keep pedophiles in office???”
You mean like DEMOCRAT Gerry Studds of Massachusetts who after admitting having sex with an underage male page was merely given a slap on the wrist by House Democrats followed by a standing ovation…
When Republicans are guilty of misdeeds they are removed from office. When Democrats are guilty of misdeeds they get a standing O…

Absolutely!
When I read High Crimes And Misdemeanors I began to understand more clearly where the left is coming from. Bubba Clinton did a lot of stuff that should have PO’d every feminist in the universe, but since he was a liberal, it was perfectly okay for him to sexually harass and rape. Like the rest of the left, feminists are hypocrites. They are liars and political opportunists just like all their fellow travellers. That’s why we don’t hear them objecting to the way Islam treats its women, they prefer instead to paint Muslims peaceful and criticize Bush…. Today’s Democrats are 100% politics and 0% humanity, yet they claim to be the opposite.
“It’s okay if a liberal does it….”
