“American” Islamic Terrorists
Whenever the mainstream media or the federal government refer to “Americans” who leave the country for terrorist training compounds in places like Libya, Syria or Lebanon, these politically correct people in whom lies the responsibility of keeping the public informed (yes, the same folks who believe that their real job is to shape public opinion, generally in a leftward direction), their goal is obviously to have their readers or TV “news” audience envision a white guy whose family has enjoyed United States citizenship for several generations.
Sure, al-Qaeda Americans.
Dozens of Americans have joined terrorist groups and are posing a threat to the United States and its interests abroad, the president’s most senior adviser on counterterrorism and homeland security said Thursday.
“There are, in my mind, dozens of U.S. persons who are in different parts of the world, and they are very concerning to us,” said John O. Brennan, deputy White House national security adviser for homeland security and counterterrorism.
In a wide-ranging interview with The Washington Times, Mr. Brennan said he would not talk about lists of targeted American terrorists. However, U.S. intelligence and law enforcement agencies have been tracking down U.S. nationals and U.S. passport holders who pose security threats, like the Yemen-based al Qaeda cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, he said.
The interesting part of the equation is that these “Americans” all seem to have Arabic sounding names.
Now ain’t that strange…

Is this post a compendium of patent racism, Chuck, or what?
June 26th, 2010 at 1:14 pm
Simeon,
Well, let’s see, now…
The Ft. Hood murderer of U.S. Army personnel was a gent by the name of Major Nidal Malik Hasan, not Major Margaret Houlihan.
The guy who roasted his pelotas last Christmas on Northwest Flight 253 was named Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, not John Smith, Jr.
The fine fellow who attempted not long ago to detonate a car bomb in Times Square was none other than Faisal Shahzad, not Bernie Cohen.
The so-called “powers that be” and the rank & file citizens (voters) in countries like the U.S. where Muslim immigrants and their offspring are proliferating had better wake up and pull their (our) heads out of the sand of political correctness before that option is taken out of our hands, and deal with eliminating the dangers that fundamentalist Islam presents to free societies everywhere, any way we have to and any way we can.

Hey, Sim, since we’re playing catch with Wikipedia, how about this?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Jihadist_organizations
Just look at all those terrorist organizations. I wonder what they all have in common.
Look, dude, neither McVeigh nor the two punks at Columbine were motivated by religion, and neither was supported by a terrorist cell (McVeigh had two accomplices while the psychopukes were their own whole enchilada).
And, unlike in the case of Islamic terrorism, there were no imams or mosques involved, and no religious messages (Alahu Akbar!!!!, for example) were delivered at the time of atrocity.
There’s a major difference between a loon or two entering into an isolated act of lunacy and an act of terrorism planned, orchestrated and committed by fanatical terrorists.
Live with it.

Another difference is that McVeigh and the rugrats from hell came up in a Judeo-Christian society and were not previously indoctrinated in Islam.
Islamic scripture contains a lot of verses that order its followers to murder non-believers. Chop things off, kill, murder and maim.
These Islamoterrorists are merely doing what the Koran tells them to do.
AND they’re organized, as that link Harry put up indicates.

Simeon –
The problem with the politically correct attitude towards Islam employed by the Democrats is that it allows those who so desire to get in the first shot.
Had the powers-that-be paid attention rather than doing all they could to be PC and not notice anything “unusual” about the good Major Hasan, American soldiers would not have been butchered right here in the United States.
Had the “Merry Christmas” and Detroit bombers not been incompetently furnished, a whole lot of innocent Americans — real ones — would have been killed in the name of Islam.
Me, I’d rather err on the side of caution, particularly where lethal violence is concerned, and risk offending every Muslim in sight rather than have innocents die because I was cavalier with their safety.
You can call that racism if you want, I call it survival.

Lots and lots of those suckers, aren’t there?

And as long as there are idiots like these around, there will always be available bomb making materials.
