Ahmadmanjihad's Effective Strategy
In engaging his full scale Holocaust denial campaign (even to the extent of having held his global conference on the subject earlier this week), the Iranian president is embacing a multifaceted and highly effective strategy that demonstrates he is, indeed, no dummy (or perhaps he is, and the leaders of certain western countries are just dumber than he is), according to an on-point analysis by megaperceptive columnist Caroline Glick.
So why is the guy who is gunning for a new Holocaust belittling the last one?First of all, by doing so he empowers those Germans and friends of Germany who carried it out. By denying the Holocaust Ahmadinejad turns the Nazis into victims and so provides a space for them to express themselves after a sixty year silence. Indeed, in Germany neo-Nazism is a burgeoning political and social force that proudly parades its links to Iran.
The German fascist party NPD's followers demonstrated in support of Iran at the World Cup in Germany last spring. This week, Der Spiegel reported that attacks against Jewish children have increased markedly in recent years. Jewish children and their non-Jewish friends have been humiliated in anti-Semitic rituals unheard of since the Nazi era. "Jew" has become one of the most prevalent derogatory terms in use in Germany today.
Iran's adoption of Holocaust denial as an official, defiant policy gives legitimacy to this striking phenomenon. This is especially the case since Iran is blaming the Jews for silencing these poor fascists. In his same letter to Merkel Ahmadinejad wrote, "The perpetual claimants against the great people of Germany are the bullying Zionists that funded the Al Quds Occupying Regime with the force of bayonets in the Middle East."
of course does not limit his efforts to the Nazis. He is also setting the cognitive conditions for the annihilation of Israel for the international Left by presenting Israel's existence as a direct result of the Holocaust. As Iran's Foreign Minister Manoucher Mottaki said this week, "If the official version of the Holocaust is thrown into doubt, then the identity and nature of Israel will be thrown into doubt."
In short, Iran views Holocaust denial as a strategic propaganda tool. By downgrading the Holocaust, Iran mobilizes supporters and paralyzes potential opponents. Its coupling of the last Holocaust with the one it signals daily it intends to carry out, wins it support among the Nazis and the Sunnis alike. Its presentation of the Holocaust as a myth used to exploit Muslims wins its support in the international Left which increasingly views Israel as an illegitimate state. So by denying the Holocaust Iran raises its leadership profile both regionally and globally.
Indeed, even if the Left doesn't buy into Holocaust denial, it can still agree with Iran's conclusion that Israel has no right to exist. As Mottaki explained, "If during this [Holocaust denial conference] it is proved that the Holocaust was a historical reality, then what is the reason for the Muslim people of the region and the Palestinians having to pay the cost of the Nazis' crimes?"
Truncating,
Merkel and her fellow Germans have spent an inordinate amount of time over the past three years condemning the Nazi Holocaust. This week they even organized a special Holocaust condemning conference in response to the Iranian Holocaust denying conference.over the same time period, they have conducted negotiations with Teheran as part of the EU-3 that have enabled Iran to continue its nuclear progress; obstructed US efforts to levy sanctions on Iran; and maintained active trade relations with Iran. Merkel's government has continued the practice of providing loan guarantees to German firms doing business with Iran. In 2005, German-Iranian trade stood at about $5 billion.
Now, after three years of disastrous negotiations with the mullahs, Germany has finally come around to supporting the European draft sanctions resolution against Iran being debated in the UN Security Council. The problem is that the proposed sanctions are so weak that they will have no impact on Iran's ability to move on with its nuclear bomb program. The obvious fact that the sanctions will have no impact on Iran has not made a dent in Merkel's refusal to support military action against Iran under any circumstances - a refusal she reiterated while standing next to Israel's Prime Minister on Tuesday.
Yeah, Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, that completely clueless waste of skin who is as much a threat to the future of Israel as is the Iranian President.
Olmert was apparently too busy admitting that Israel has nuclear weapons only to take back his admission hours later, absurdly praising Russian President Vladimir for his opposition to the "nuclearlization of Iran" which Putin is actively promoting, and promising to give Judea and Samaria to Holocaust denier Mahmoud Abbas to take issue with Merkel's statement. And that is a pity, because by taking issue with it, he would have gone far towards destroying the effectiveness of Iran's Holocaust denial strategy.

The Relentless Creeping Of Islam....
... in the United States is being done peacefully. Whereas in Europe they intimidate, and the quivering French, Spanish and now even Brits (sad, a once great and bold people turned now into spineless mush) bend over backwards (or is it forwards?) to accommodate their takeover plans.
Please don't slap us anymore, plead the Euros, we'll do anything you say! What a miserable bunch of cowering has-beens the Europeans, including the Brits, have become.
Here, the Muslims are using an entirely different approach -- with the terrorism supporting CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) as their PR firm, the ACLU running legal interference and our very own Democrats abetting and shouting encouragement from the sidelines, they are using our laws and our political venues to infiltrate and eventually dominate our society.
Mr. Ogre's take on the situation here in the United States is right on top of things, an excellent read with a couple of further must read links, and can be read here.

Remember Clinton's War?
You know, the one Germany and some other Euro countries got us into because they wanted more EU say-so in the Balkans? You know, the one in which the late Mr. Milosevic, the one they tried for five years in the aftermath and could convict of nothing was "ethnically cleansing" the Muslim population while the Muslim population did the same to non-Muslims? Yeah, that one, the one way street where Clinton felt it was just fine for Muslims to ethnically cleanse to their hearts' content, as long as Milosevic could not?
We and several other countries really did the Muslims a favor there, helping them to practice their Islam on Christian Serbs with a minimum of interference.
Julia Gorin's got a present day perspective up at JWR's Political Mavens, done in her own uniquely humorous-yet-to-the-point style that bears a read, here.

Islam Vs The Rest Of Us
I recently ran across this three year old article by Moshe Sharon, who is an Islamic History professor living and teaching in Israel.
Mr. Sharon defines, without the muting effect of political correctness, the reasons why Islam is not coexistentially compatible with the rest of the planet's population -- no, liberals, by "population", I do not mean people, dolphins, spotted owls and all G-d's other critters, I just mean people. You know, humans.
While he cites Judaism and Christianity as Islam's antithesis', the Muslims break the world down to two basic entities, these being Dar al Islam, the House of Islam, and Dar al Haab, the House of War. The former, which translates into the House of Submission (to Islam/Allah) includes all Muslims. The latter pretty much speaks for itself: If you're not Muslim, then Islam is at war with you.
Of course, out of Allah's supreme fairness, the ideal is that Islam offers infidels options. They offer three premium packages to choose from:
a) you may convert to Islam and live under the thumb of opressive Sharia law,
b) you may assume a role of dhimmitude, where-in you have the opportunity to live as a zillionth class citizen without legal rights of any kind, be subservient to all Muslims and pay a poll tax for the great opportunity to live in perpetual humiliation and shame {Dhimmitude is the preferred option of liberals, as their media sound bytes and their political obstruction of our country's self-defense measures would seem to indicate}.
c) you may be put to death.
So many choices, so little time!
There is a fourth choice, of course, but it's not in any of the brochures: Unite behind the President in the Global War On Terror and let our senators and representatives know in no uncertain terms that this is what we expect of them, as well. Demand that the media be held more responsible and let they themselves know, through increased or decreased patronage, that they need to be a damn sight more truthful in their coverage of the war, and put aside their political agendas until the enemy has been vanquished.
Seth, to quote the great Ronald Reagan, "There you go again!"
Ooops, sorry, back on topic. The linked article is sort of lengthy but worth the read. I particularly enjoyed the way the author phrased the second paragraph:
All of a sudden we see that the greatest interpreters of Islam are politicians in the western world. They know better than all the speakers in the mosques, all those who deliver terrible sermons against anything that is either Christian or Jewish. These western politicians know that there is good Islam and bad Islam. They know even how to differentiate between the two, except that none of them know how to read a word of Arabic.
At any rate, Moshe Sharon lays out the entire thing, the irreconcileable differences between Islam and JudeoChristianity that demand that Muslims eliminate non-Muslims.
So go read the article and then come back....
We see on a regular basis these days that Islam's claim to being the "Religion of Peace" is a crock of recycled provender. Most recently, when the Pope recapped a centuries old observation, not his own, to the effect that Islam is a religion of violence, Muslims disputed this claim by being violent and calling for the murder of the Pontiff!
"We're not violent, but if you accuse us of being violent, we will kill you!"
Didn't Kirk, Spock and McCoy once blow out the logic circuits of a whole army of robots using that kind of reasoning?
One of those kindly, godly, real men of the Religion of Peace even shot a nun in the back.
And despite all these goings on, a lot of obtuse politicians, obtuse news editors and obtuse members of the voting public still seem to swallow the "Religion of Peace" mallarkey, and will cheerfully continue to do so right up until a suitcase nuke goes off in New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Wilkes-Barre or Kalamazoo and hundreds of thousands to millions of Americans die. 50% of the blame will belong to the terrorists and 50% will go to the stupid, self seeking or politically motivated pieces of treasonous crotch-rot that either obstructed or publicized our intelligence gathering operations and capabilities or emboldened the enemy by leading them to believe that most of America sympathized with them. At that point, the John McCains, Bill Kellers and John Murthas of our society will be just as guilty of the mass murder of Americans as the terrorists will be.
A harsh sentiment, perhaps, but these are people who are knowingly endangering American lives in order to pursue their own ambitions and/or political objectives. In the politicians' cases, we are talking grossly irresponsible behavior for elected leaders. In Keller's case, no matter his and the left's politically convenient interpretation of the law, it is treason, period.
Okay, okay, I know I'm ranting, but what can I say? I'm ranting the truth, so....

Obviously, lemmings have taken control of these people.

Images Of Mohammed, Religious Humor Not Forbidden
In a Wall Street Journal article a couple of days ago, Amir Taheri pointed out that claims by those organizers of Islamic mega-vandals over the Danish cartoon episode that depictions of Mohammed and jokes about Islam are banned by Koranic principles are a politically motivated fabrication.
The Muslim Brotherhood's position, put by one of its younger militants, Tariq Ramadan--who is, strangely enough, also an adviser to the British home secretary--can be summed up as follows: It is against Islamic principles to represent by imagery not only Muhammad but all the prophets of Islam; and the Muslim world is not used to laughing at religion. Both claims, however, are false. There is no Quranic injunction against images, whether of Muhammad or anyone else. When it spread into the Levant, Islam came into contact with a version of Christianity that was militantly iconoclastic. As a result some Muslim theologians, at a time when Islam still had an organic theology, issued "fatwas" against any depiction of the Godhead. That position was further buttressed by the fact that Islam acknowledges the Jewish Ten Commandments--which include a ban on depicting God--as part of its heritage. The issue has never been decided one way or another, and the claim that a ban on images is "an absolute principle of Islam" is purely political. Islam has only one absolute principle: the Oneness of God. Trying to invent other absolutes is, from the point of view of Islamic theology, nothing but sherk, i.e., the bestowal on the Many of the attributes of the One.The claim that the ban on depicting Muhammad and other prophets is an absolute principle of Islam is also refuted by history. Many portraits of Muhammad have been drawn by Muslim artists, often commissioned by Muslim rulers.
The reasons for the recent violence by mindless animals was, therefore, just another excuse to do what they do best: Destroy property and injure innocent people, protected by the safety of numbers provided by fellow scum in their cowardly mobs.
This is an excellent piece, Read on.

More From The Religion Of Peace
Yesterday in Beirut, a bunch of Muslims demonstrated yet again how they are able to function, collectively and tolerantly, like reasonable human beings.
A mob burned and ransacked the Danish Consulate in Beirut yesterday in anger over newspaper cartoons depicting the prophet Muhammad, prompting the interior minister to resign over his inability to prevent the violence. The rioters, many of them Syrians, also attacked a Maronite church and scuffled with security forces, burning police and army vehicles. The State Department held the Syrian government responsible for similar actions a day earlier in Damascus. Muslims worldwide are enraged at a series of cartoons that a Danish newspaper ran in September, depicting Muhammad in the company of veiled women and as a terrorist with a bomblike turban. Islam forbids any portrayal of its prophet as idolatry. Many of yesterday's protesters arrived in Beirut in buses and carrying flags. They engaged Lebanese security forces in running street fights with rocks and sticks, burning or capturing police and emergency vehicles before storming the Danish Consulate in the majority-Christian neighborhood of Ashrafiyah. "There is no God but God, and Muhammad is his messenger," the rioters chanted, smashing their way into the 10-story commercial building and lighting fires that quickly engulfed the structure.
Lovely.
This stuff keeps on happening{in this case, the violence erupted over items published in a Danish newspaper about five months ago} in various countries, then terror supporting organizations such as CAIR react with indignance and wrath when anyone even dares suggest that there might be some violent people in the global Islamic community.
Go figure.
Mark Steyn provides some great related commentary here.

Radical Islam, In Its Own Words
Victor Davis Hanson hits the proverbial nail right on the head in defining the implacable violent intent of Islamofascism through its leaders' own declarations.
“You will find that the Jews were behind all the civil strife in this world. The Jews are behind the suffering of the nations.”
When and where did that venom come from?
This last May — and out of the hateful mouth of a prominent Palestinian cleric, Sheik Ibrahim Mudeiris. He was broadcast on a Palestinian Authority station.
The televised Sheik finished with an even more frightening thought: “The day will come when everything will be relieved of the Jews — even the stones and trees which were harmed by them…The stones and trees will want the Muslims to finish off every Jew.”
Nothing could be clearer than that promise of another holocaust — and promised explicitly on state-run Palestinian television, a public megaphone of the Palestinian Authority, itself the beneficiary of past and apparently promised future American financial aid.
The entire column is, as always with Hanson, a good and worthwhile read.
Major ten gallon hat tip to Raven.

2003 Annual Islamophobia Awards
Back to that Islamic website again: This time it is to view the "winners" of the Annual Islamophobia Awards presented on 31 May 2003.
Check 'em out. Bush was the big winner, of course. Tony Blair was a winner also. Go check out the winners. I'm glad I ran across this, because it has confirmed what I thought was the true definition of the term Islamophobic to begin with.
Islamophobic: Any infidel who is opposed to being a) slaughtered by Muslims in the name of Allah, and b) enslaved by a theo-fascist government.
So okay, I guess that makes most of us here in America, with the exceptions of most folks in the Bay Area, of course, Islamophobics. It is, of course, supposed to be an insulting term, implying that were we normal, we would simply submit ourselves to the nearest mosque for instant beheading.
Ohhhhkayyyy....
