A short thought

Sarah Palin makes a true and verifiable reference to Obama’s past association with a devoted commie, one who was the liberal presidential candidate’s mentor at the time, and the lefty media goes haywire, accusing the Republican VP candidate of underhanded, nasty mudslinging.

In other words, inconvenient truths are anathema when they concern a Democrat.

If a Democrat called a Republican a “shit eating baby rapist”, the media would see no problem, would probably applaud the Democrat’s boldness and plain spokenness. If the same Republican, however, said that the offending Democrat “is not a nice person”, the same media would scream that the Republican was resorting to sleazy innuendo to besmirch the good name of the Democrat.

Hypocrisy reigns to the left of the aisle.

And we’ve come to expect anything different from the media from reporting this hypocrisy? Of course not - the Libs stick together!

  2. Wolf Says:

    Tom,

In a saner world, the libs would hang together.

  3. Tom Says:

Now now, Wolf - let’s be nice about it, or we’ll have to send you to your room (of course, if in Russia, it would be the coldest corner in the Gulag…)

What am I saying!?!?! I must be having a PC moment!!

  4. Wolf Says:

    Tom,

For me, that is nice where libs are concerned.

They are gradually dismantling from within what amounts to history’s greatest political success story, a 200 year saga that can be measured in the amount of blood brave men and women have spilled to make it thus and preserve it thus. If that’s what they call “progressive”, I would rather remain the knuckle dragging troglodyte most of the liberals I meet make me out to be.

  5. Z Says:

and now, Rep John Lewis is saying that McCain is “sowing seeds of hatred” like “governor Wallace did”. See, you can’t say ANYTHING against Obama without having some book thrown at you; either racist, or mean, or unkind, or too intrusive, or too personal, or too rightwing, etc etc etc.

This man is RULING, folks……..and the media’s right there with him and his puppeteers. I’d hate to be dancing on those strings..Obama’s got to be scared to death of losing. And boy, did he deliver a speech in PA today. And BOY did they love him. ugh

  6. Wolf Says:

    Z,

Whenever the left has nothing concrete (which they rarely do) to use as a weapon, they go to their universal fallback position of yelling “racist”, etc, or they take an issue of relative molehill significance and attempt to transform it into Mt. Everest (or, given the origins of our Republican VP candidate, Mt. McKinley).

At the moment, they have their fangs buried in “Troopergate”, for example, which apparently condemns Sarah Palin for doing nothing outside her purview as Alaska’s governor and certainly nothing unethical, yet watch them twist the story to make it appear that she committed a heinous crime.

The lefties are truly desperate to get Obama elected, as he is just as desperate to get into the White House, but hey. Desperation is not a fool proof formula for success.

Barack Hussein Obama being elected POTUS would be like the comedian Carrot Top being named CEO of Citibank, and I think the majority of the American people will be thinking exactly that when they go to the polls.

  7. Tom Says:

I don’t know, Wolf - I’ve had a couple of OBots show up at my door, and they have supped from the punch-bowl big time… I know who they are going to vote for, no matter what (will post on this encounter soon).

  8. The Gray Monk Says:

Here’s an interesting one for you - I have just returned from Tehran where they believe, rightly or wrongly, the Mr Obama is (a) the child of a Jewish mother and a Muslim father, and (b) that he is a practicing Muslim.

In fact Tehran is counting on his winning the Presidency.

  9. Wolf Says:

    Tom,

The “Obama as messiah syndrome”, or whatever we may call it, will definitely get the guy a ton of votes, maybe even enough to be called “too close for comfort”, but I still firmly believe that in this case, common sense will prevail among the majority of Americans.

Look, it’s true Carter and Clinton got themselves elected (Carter, fortunately, only took one term to show the voters that his election was a grave error of judgement on the part of the electorate), but both of those SOBs, former governors, ran from a position of political managerial experience, whereas Obama just appeared out of virtual nowhere and began spreading a meaningless, zero-content message of “change”. Looking at governmental experience, maturity and sheer force of character as tangibles in the common sense column (who do we really want our nation to have as its leader?), any American who can boast any kind of contact with reality, which, luckily, is most of us, will pull the lever for McCain when they arrive at the polls.

I have come to disregard all the “Obama is kicking butt” propaganda dished out by the MSM, because it is in the best interests of their political agendas to make the voters believe that an Obama win is a foregone conclusion, so “why not vote for a winner?”, when we already know that the lefty media lies through its teeth when it suits their purposes to do so.

    Gray Monk,

Ahmadinejad and propaganda go hand in glove. He and the American media would get along famously in that regard.

I’d wager that every enemy of America, and enemy of the rest of the free world for that matter, is rooting for Obama.

Wolf???? Evidently I’ve been negligent in my visiting. Sorry!

I agree wholeheartedly though. I can just imagine what would happen if it could be proven that McCain had friends in the KKK, for instance. But Obama’s friends… no prob! Many of his supporters probably believe its really cool to hang around with known terrorists!

  11. Wolf Says:

    Gayle,

I’ve been out of town myself the last few days, two funerals to attend, one a beloved relative, the other an old combat buddy. The older one gets, the more family and friends one loses.

Look at all the dimwitted lefty fools who wear Chi Guevara tee shirts, romanticizing and honoring the memory of a butcher whose bloodthirstiness was ultimately an embarrassment even to Fidel Castro.

Compared to Chi, I guess they figure Ayers and his ilk are “terrorist lite” or something.
