Here’s Another One…

…that arrived as an email forward, this one attributed to one of my favorite sons of the south, one long haired country boy whom they’d better leave alone.

I don’t know how everybody else feels about it, but to me I think Hispanic people in this country, legally or illegally, made a huge public relations mistake with their recent demonstrations.

I don’t blame anybody in the world for wanting to come to the
United States of America , as it is a truly wonderful place.

But when the first thing you do when you set foot on American soil is illegal it is flat out wrong and I don’t care how many lala land left heads come out of the woodwork and start trying to give me sensitivity lessons.

I don’t need sensitivity lessons, in fact I don’t have any-thing against Mexicans! I just have something against criminals and anybody who comes into this country illegally is a criminal and if you don’t believe it try coming into America from a foreign country without a passport and see how far you get.

What disturbs me about the demonstrations is that it’s tanta-mount to saying, “I am going to come into your country even if it means breaking your laws and there’s nothing you can do about it.”

It’s an “in your face” action and speaking just for me, I don’t like it one little bit and if there were a half dozen pairs of gonads in Washington bigger than English peas it wouldn’t be happening.

Where are you, you bunch of lily livered, pantywaist, forked tongued, sorry excuses for defenders of The Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again?

And even if you pass a bill on immigration it will probably be so pork laden and watered down that it won’t mean anything anyway Besides, what good is another law going to do when you
won’t enforce the ones on the books now?

And what ever happened to the polls, guys? I thought you folks were the quintessential finger wetters. Well you sure ain’t paying any attention to the polls this time because somewhere around eighty percent of Americans want some thing done about this mess, and mess it is and getting bigger everyday.

This is no longer a problem, it is a dilemma and headed for being a tragedy. Do you honestly think that what happened in France with the Muslims can’t happen here when the businesses who hire these people finally run out of jobs and a few million disillusioned Hispanics take to the streets?

If you, Mr. President, Congressmen and Senators, knuckle under on this and refuse to do something meaningful it means that you care nothing for the kind of country your children and grand-children will inherit. But I guess that doesn’t matter as long as you get re-elected.
Shame on you.

One of the big problems in America today is that if you have the nerve to say anything derogatory about any group of people (except Christians) you are going to be screamed at by the media and called a racist, a bigot and anything else they can think of to call you

Well I’ve been pounded by the media before and I’m still rockin’ and rollin’ and when it comes to speaking the truth I fear not.

And the truth is that the gutless, gonadless, milksop politicians are just about to sell out the United States of America because they don’t have the intestinal fortitude to stand up to face reality.

And reality is that we would never allow any other group of people to have 12 million illegal in this country and turn around and say, “Oh it’s ok, ya’ll can stay here if you’ll just allow us to slap your wrist.”

And I know that some of you who read this column are saying “Well what’s wrong with that?”

I’ll tell you what’s wrong with it. These people could be from Mars as far as we know. We don’t know who they are, where they are or what they’re up to and the way the Congress is going we’re not going to.

Does this make sense? Labor force you say? We already subsidize corporate agriculture as it is, must we subsidize their labor as well?

If these people were from Haiti would we be so fast to turn a blind eye to them or if they were from Somalia or Afghanistan ?

I think not.

All the media shows us are pictures of hard working Hispanics who have crossed the border just to try to better their life.

They don’t show you pictures of the Feds rounding up members of MS 13, the violent gang who came across the same way the decent folks did. They don’t tell you about the living conditions of the Mexican illegal some fat cat hired to pick his crop.

I want to make two predictions.

No. 1: This situation is going to grow and fester until it erupts in violence on our streets while the wimps in Washington drag their toes in the dirt and try to figure how many tons of political hay they can make to the acre.

No 2: Somebody is going to cross that border with some kind of weapon of mass destruction and set it off in a major American city after which there will be a backlash such as this country has never experienced and the Capitol building in Washington will probably tilt as Congressmen and Senators rush to the other side of the issue.

I don’t know about you but I would love to see just one major politician stand up and say, “I don’t care who I make mad and I don’t care how many votes I lose, this is a desperate situation and I’m going to lead the fight to get it straightened out.”

I don’t blame anybody for wanting to come to America , but if you don’t respect our immigration laws why should you respect any others?

And by the way, this is America and our flag has stars and stripes Please get that other one out of my face.

God Bless America

Charlie Daniels

H/T Brenda.

Actually, there is one fellow in Congress who does speak his piece, no holds barred and, unlike the three Republican “front-runners” in the Presidential race (Romney, Giuliani and RINO McCain) favored by the uninformed, the indifferent and the obtuse, doesn’t waffle on issues according to prevailing political winds, and embraces strong conservative views on all issues and he, too, is running for President. His name is Tom Tancredo.

WOW Seth! I enjoyed that rant immensely!

I posted on the same subject today, but as far as ranting goes, I don’t hold a candle to this dude: “Where are you, you bunch of lily livered, pantywaist, forked tongued, sorry excuses for defenders of The Constitution? Have you been drinking the water out of the Potomac again?”

ROTFALMBO! I like the way this man has with words, and you know what the best part of it is? He’s right!

    Gayle –

This is the man of “The Devil Went Down To Georgia” and “Uneasy Rider” fame. I always thought he’d be anything but a left wingnut. Glad to know I was right! :-)

He is one of my favorite musicians and celebrities I must say and in this article he tells it like is, a good find and post Seth.

Charlie’s Manifest telling these people in a nice way to get legal or hit the southern road home.
Back when I used to live in St Louis Mo in the early 80’s we would go see CDB every year at the old Mississippi River Festival, the Charlie Daniel Band, long before he became better known and accepted in the mainstream per say.

He’s a down home good old boy through and through and his early music reveals that side of him pretty thoroughly.

Tancredo had some good moments in this unusual Sunday Morning debate I thought as well Seth, I know he’s your man for the job, mine to in some ways.

Charlie Daniels is spot on. I live in an area, (Myrtle Beach,SC), where the illegal population is large because of the massive new housing boom that this area is experiencing and the cheap labor they provide for contractors. Because of the many skilled workers who have been laid off for preference of the illegal cheap labor and the way that much of the area is catering to this population the feelings against Mexicans as a whole, legal or illegal run high.

For instance as an example of the catering, one of our five soon to be six Super Walmarts just remodeled. This particular Walmart is frequented by most Mexicans. The entire store was remodeled with their need and desires in mind with Mexican music at the front of the store, Mexican food on all of the end caps, every sign has Spanish on top with English underneath etc.

The feelings that are erupting in the entire country are similar to the feelings that were experienced in the South after the Civil War with forced emancipation to Southerners who were not yet willing to accept or even admit the need both morally, Constitutionaly and in the best interest of the nation for the freedom of the slaves. Thus the KKK and other such groups started with the results well known by historical fact.

The emotions against Mexicans is almost as high as that of the South after the Civil War. Adding insult to injury is the as Daniesl put it, “in your face, ” protests to force citizens to accept their illegal activity. I am not a prejudice person but this blatant action by illegals to justify their breaking of the laws of MY COUNTRY angers me.

If it is not quelled by Congress in the enforcement of current laws and the closing of the borders we will soon see violence similar to that aginst Blacks in the South prior to the Civil Rights movement. This time it will be against Mexicans from angry Americans. The pot is boiling and the Congress must turn the burner off before it blows!

Has there ever been another time in American history when our so-called elected representatives have been so unresponsive to the wishes of the overwhelming majority of their constituency?

A most excellent rant from Mr. Daniels!

  7. Gayle Says:

I must have given the impression I didn’t know who Charlie Daniels is. Of course I do… how could I not! He did a great job on “Texas” and I like all of his stuff. He did say “People in Texas don’t care if the sun don’t shine”, but after weeks and weeks of nothing but rain I have to tell you I care! :)

  8. Seth Says:

    Ray –

I envy you that much opportunity to have experienced Charlie Daniels during his earlier years; no matter what a successful musician does in later years, the stuff that gets him/her there is generally the best.

Bonnie Raitt was a good example of this — she toured hard for something like 20 years before she achieved major recognition, and to tell the truth, I was more impressed with her older stuff.

I’ve never seen Charlie Daniels live (except in a small amount of video), but would jump at the opportunity. Another country rock act I like a lot is the Marshall Tucker Band.

It would probably anger a liberal that a “long haired country boy” who was “tokin’ on a number an’ diggin’ on the radio” is also an American patriot. :-)

Re Tancredo: It is always frustrating when someone real like him comes along, only to be blocked out by a bunch of generic politicians. I would like to see him get more media exposure, but unfortunately, what conservative media we have is as biased as anyone toward their own picks as well as who sells the most papers or the most pricey commercial airtime.

However, I will keep on pushing for Tom, in my opinion, when all the hype and BS is cleared aside, Tancredo is the absolute best choice for President in 2008.

    Ken –

I can see that, as well.

Every day, even up north, you hear people venting their frustration at this veritable invasion of illegals. My best friend lives in a small town in Putnam County, New York (about 50 miles outside of Manhattan) and even there, illegals have taken away a large chunk of work from local tradesmen.

And the problem keeps growing as the government pointedly ignores it (sure, they talk a lot about solving it, then when they figure we’ve all seen that they “care”, they move on to “other issues” — they really do think we’re stupid, don’t they?)

Eventually, if Uncle Sam doesn’t do his job and protect our borders and our sovereignty and enforce our immigration laws, there will certainly be a severe public backlash. Despite American tradition and thinking having been seriously diluted by liberals in the media, Americans will only be pushed so far before we push back.

On the other side of the issue, I believe Daniels was right in predicting that once the illegal jobs are all taken or otherwise unavailable, there will be a similar backlash from the criminal aliens and their U.S. citizen supporters of Mexican background.

Congress truly needs to take a hint from the content of the demonstrations we’ve seen on behalf of illegals, and perhaps even remember Whittier and the urban warfare waged between the LAPD and the Brown Berets.

    AOW –

These times should also serve as a massive wake-up call for Americans. For much too long, too many (millions!) Americans have shirked their own Constitutional duty, that of keeping a sharp eye on our elected officials, knowing all that they do “on our behalf”, and letting them know when they’re screwing up, up to and including being “thorns in their sides”.

The pro-Amnesty and (attempt to eliminate) the John Doe protection clause issues proved that we can still steer the politicians back on track with enough public input, but it will take a taxpayer assault on every issue and pork proposal to keep them in line, as they can’t seem to remember a message from one vote to the next. If only we could put horse blinders on those jackasses, all might be well.

    Gayle –

I was 99% sure you must have, living in Texas, LOL.

“People in Texas don’t care if the sun don’t shine”

Daniels had probably not then anticipated the advent of Global Wetting.
