Ha!!!!
Please pardon my skepticism, but I find this just a little hard to believe.
Given the hypocrisy and lies that are the hallmark of today’s Democrats, I’m sure Governor Kulongoski’s larder has already been well stocked by some aide or domestic who shopped for him someplace on the other side of town, and that he’ll be well fed from outside during the day while working in his office with the door closed, still securing the votes of any food stamp voters he missed during the last election.
What a bunch of malarkey, LOL!

Yeah, media hype. When I was in high school, our senator set aside days where he would work at a ‘regular job’. One morning I was surprised to run into William Proxmire (D-Wisconsin), dressed in grubs hanging on the back of the local garbage truck. He was pretty sweaty, sort of smelly but boy was he earning votes. Such ploys are not confined to government: I had the pleasure of watching a company president who, having decided to be one of the people, decided to ‘work the line’. The women were pissed because he slowed them down, and the half-day production required re-inspection.

It’s truly amazing how many people actually eat up this kind of transparent showmanship to the extent that they make it the priority factor in their vote. I suppose there’s no shortage of simpletons…
I like the bit about the company president, LOL, gaining points with the rank and file by sabotaging their work, screwing middle management by cheerfully sabotaging production; Some folks would do everybody, not least themselves, a favor by restricting themselves to their offices and leaving the actual work to the worker bees.
