The Next President

Y’know what?

Our great country is in very real trouble right now.

Yeah, of course, the liberals, who believe we’re invincible and that they can continue indefinitely to bash, sabotage and denigrate America with impunity will disagree, pontificate and grin that superior, smug, teeth gnashing inspiring, knuckle-target grin they are so good at grinning, but…

The truth is that we are not invincible. They are stripping us to the bone with their PC, Utopian B.S., rendering us vulnerable to moral, economic and political collapse.

And our only defense? A bunch of spineless, complacent Republicans on the Hill who could give a tinker’s damn about anything but their own careers….

Except for….

Tom Tancredo, a politician who is his own man and who stands for America as it was intended to be.

At the moment, he is standing up to the Bush Administration and others who have no problem with our country and our economy being saturated with criminal aliens, and their being welcomed and given amnesty.

He needs only to run for President in 2008, and he’ll have both my vote and my all out support.

Tom Tancredo, 2008.

Newt is another who does not believe in amnesty for illegal aliens…

Whether it is Tom, Newt or whoever, the candidate cannot be a one issue wonder and must appeal to the goodness in the majority of Americans. (Does Ronald Reagan come to mind?)

I firmly believe the GOP will be successful in retaining the presidency if they have a Reaganesque leader to fend off the Hildabeast. Another GWB will not get the job done.

    Hi, Old Soldier –

Agreed, fully. If only another Reagan would emerge…

The only problem I see with Gingrich being elected president is his reputation among moderates and even conservative Democrats — he’s seen as a “hardliner”, much as was Bob Dole during his run against Clinton.

So far, Tancredo’s only real “exposure” has been in the illegal immigration kerfuffle, but he is a strong conservative and I believe he would prove thus across the spectrum of issues he’d face as President.

He’s also not afraid to speak his mind, and will stand up to rebukes for doing so.

    Seth,

Tancredo took a lot of heat from the press and the Left when he made that comment about “nuking Mecca” as an option if terrorists nuke and American city. I applauded, the media and the Left were aghast and crucified him for a while.

I like Tancredo too. He has guts.

    Me, too.

The dhimwits didn’t take all that kindly to Ann Coulter’s post 9/11 suggestion re “invading their countries, killing their leaders…” either, but she, too had my unmitigated applause in the matter.
